- demo Windows Edge Of Forever by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- Oh.. and a sidenote on the "ASD colors" ©® ... they are REALLY projector friendly. At least 95% of the details were visible on the big screen.

- demo Windows Edge Of Forever by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- Well guys.. full flavor and this time as promised, an original soundtrack =). As Navis tends to keep the demo away from any eye.. I was even amazed when I saw that one week before the party. Oh oh oh... and this time it quits on ESC.. yay! =)
I hope you'll all enjoy it as much as we did here at the party place. - isokadded on the 2002-04-21 09:09:03
- demo Windows Cadence and Cascade by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- SiN, I started writting a score for that demo, since there was word that the demo was scoreless. The problem wasn't about the file reaching the coder or graphician, but the talking between me and the gfx. I sent him some e-mail asking him what is it going to be with the demo, and if they still want the tune. The e-mail never reached the graphician, I didn't get a server reply so I presumed that since the graphician didn't respond, they probably didn't want a tune from me.
Anyhow, that's old news by now.. I joined ASD, and our next production (to be releasted at ReACT 2002) will feature an original score. - isokadded on the 2002-03-11 10:55:29

- intro Flash A bubble for your thoughts by Alloy
- cD: being dogmatic doesn't help the scene. We've seen loads of fights for oldschool to newschool, for non accelerated to accelerated, from intros to demos, and the list goes on indefinately.
"flash should be assraped" is a very insulting statement for everyone that uses this tool either for building websites, or demos.
Similarly someone could diss demopaja for having a very similar way of manipulating your demo objects as flash does, but taking a closer look you can clearly see that it takes much more to actually produce a demo.. (and Gerbera.. what a demo it was.. great work moppi).
macaw: talking on fair terms here, I could export it as a projector file which would take roughly above 200k. It doesn't even reach the driver's filesize. But then it wouldn't be platform independent.
kb: I totally agree with you on a new "flash platform" entry. Oh, and you forgot to include the OS size for viewing anything demo-like. =)
To end this reply since it is more appropriate for the BBS, this flash intro as stated in it's text is not intended to impress the demoscene. There's no design to it, and I don't expect it to be "liked" by people. It's just a small CODED production (the bubble particle engine is roughly 3k) by a musician that tries to get a message through:

- intro Flash A bubble for your thoughts by Alloy
- Well macaw, I made it in flash so you can also see it, since from what it seems no other demo can run on your pc...
Seriously now, it's not wild and I suppose adding a "flash" platform would be wise since there *ARE* flash demos from groups with quite a large background. - isokadded on the 2002-01-04 13:44:25
- demo Flash Delirium by Scoopex [web]
- I can't downvote it nor upvote it either. The grpahics are nice and the music is pleasant.
However, I am a flash developer and this is one of the ugliest uses of flash I've seen. The best effects are bitmap sequences (which is unacceptable in the flash community) and alpha blending is used in such a way that combined with the bitmaps, makes the flash movie be reaaaly slow even in the original window size.
A note for the rest of the demoscene though. Flash ISN't the easy way out if you want to make something decent. Actionscript is actually powerful (considering its limitations). And flash 6, has routines for point and line plotting as well as polygon fillers, which hopefully will lead into REAL flash demos next year. - isokadded on the 2001-12-29 17:51:38
- demo Linux Windows MacOSX PPC Yuri Nation by Non Alien Nature Five [web]
- Heh, I know that many people here hold a thing or two against macaws comments on pretty much every other demo.. but I have to admit this one rulez.
The music brings back memories of the 20 MeEhNuTz Chipcompo 4-5 years ago on #trax, where on one competition instead of giving a samplepack, we instructed the participants to make a chiptune using only their autoexec.bat and config.sys files as samples.
A well deserved "rulez" here - rulezadded on the 2001-12-14 14:58:44

- The muppets are white.
Rulez.. definately.. and what makes that particular scene look like max payne rooms is the wall and floor texture.. (heh You're not alone Wild Rage.. =)
Finally, what I like most about this intro is the muppet's hair, sorta reminding me of the lapsus hair effect.. - rulezadded on the 2001-12-02 23:31:10
