- Interesting concept, but the execution is disappointing.
There are several good ideas and effects in there, but also poor design choices, and a lot of unexploited potential.
For example, at times the feedback effect supports the message, with a feeling of a presence that is difficult to grasp and a feeling of uncertainty, but at other times it goes completely against it and feels unrelated and distracting, like those curly effect around letters.
Moreover, during most of the demo, the message is legible despite the effects and pace, yet at other times the words are just unreadable. So do you want the viewer to read, or do you want them not to? It's unclear.
I would have understood if the text had become more difficult to read during the most sensitive parts, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Similarly, the surprising choice of showing some unimportant words, like pronouns, more prominently than others, gives an impression of randomness, whereas a deliberate choice could have had impact. - isokadded on the 2019-11-27 20:42:29

- demo NES/Famicom HEOHdemo by Shiru
- The beginning is really nice, it has a good direction, but after a while it loses its steam and turns into a sequence of unrelated effects.
The greetings scene was nice though. - rulezadded on the 2019-11-27 00:32:22
- demo JavaScript Tão Perto, Tão Longe... by enoughrecords [web]
- Well executed concept, with a very nice result.
As others have pointed out the shimmering was distracting though. - rulezadded on the 2019-11-09 02:58:10
