• Actually this was supposed to be entered to a couple of parties:
  - Breakpoint 2004 - didnt get finished, too busy with SNS
  - Assembly 2004 - thought about entering it but couldn't find a machine to finish.
  - Function 2004 - finished ~20 minutes before the compo but crashed after compiling together, never got around fixing it because BoyC was too busy
  - Breakpoint 2005 - was far too busy with the intros and just didn't have the mood to try and compile it together.

• i think people are being a bit too touchy here. (both the authors and the critics.)
  
  noone doubted the technicality or the message - it's just that the delivery itself isn't really subtle and the metaphors are far too obvious and cliched to really make me think "DAMN thats a nice way of interpreting something". there's no point in pouting over a critic either - that wont change anything.
  
  on the other hand, the video still has its merits in technicality (very few liveaction imagery in wilds nowadays, especially done this well), and it does use a type of symbolism that's rarely done. I disagree that the video was regurgitating things from previous years; people at bp complained about seeing the same persons in the video over and over - well DUH, that's like complaining about seeing the same names in a credits listing in a demo. if an artist/group has a style, so be it. that's the whole point of design et al.
  
  i dont see this as a bad prod. it's just that it could've been done a lot better - but that would've been a much different prod.
