• There are some excellent raytraced scenes in here. The bold colors and dithering make for a pleasant visual experience as well.

• This proves that good code != good demo. The raytracer sounds impressive in the text file, but the effects in the demo are hideously ugly.

• Chilled-out particle effects on a blurred background... nice, but could have been much better. That jerking between scenes is annoying.

• This demo was a lot better than I expected! The effects were very simple, but still nice for software rendering in basic.
  
  Consider this: the oldschool coders had to get fast effects in limited hardware, so you have to get fast effects in limited software. The framerate is fine here, but the attitude is wrong.

• I had to watch this demo a few times before I felt the mood. Now that I "get it," I really like it. The music and flowing visuals set up a nice atmosphere.

• The individual effects were mediocre, and they didn't fit together well. A little design would help this demo a lot.
  
  The cartoon characters were an interesting touch. I wonder if they were worth the trouble they caused with the jurry.

• The 3D scenes looks very good, although some ran a little slow. My favorite was the voxel landscape.

• I agree with the jurors on this one: the 3D dungeon looks pretty obscure. I had to watch the demo 3 times to figure out what I was looking at. Otherwise, the remaining effects are pretty good.

• This prod has a real 80's look and feel to it. Working directly in textmode produces good results on the spline effect, but doesn't look so good in other places.
