- Nice fast paced visuals and a killer soundtrack.
However:
- Too much blue/purple/dunno/I/am/almost/colorblind
- The release version is more than 64Kb
- Half the planet runs with vsync off to maximize framerate. This one requires it to be on.
- When you run it as a window and you quit it, the music goes on forever. You must kill it using the task manager.
- The scene's most decorated lamer worked on it.
So it sucks. - sucksadded on the 2001-12-28 23:33:45

Macaw: Maybe it's one of those classic PEBCAK problems. You should really check it out. It gets rather irritating after the 100th time. - isokadded on the 2001-12-28 23:04:41

- Runs just fine on a p3/933 with a gf2mx. Only one effect chokes the crippled mx memory bus. Task manager reports 128megs of memory usage. I have lots of ram. The music is very good and pleasantly conventional. Most effects are well done, a few could have been left out. The effects are slammed on the monitor almost randomly. There is no text, no greets, no credits. My take is that someone was not realy feeling coca-cola when this was released.
Thumbs may be interesting to some, right now there's another certain finger that I would like to use.

- Wow, a readme file which includes an intro... Now that's original.
Chaos, kb, yoda and ryg: FUCK critisism, nerds, design, skools. FUCK THEM. You're better than that! Do your stuff like only you can, be happy and FUCK the rest. You do what you do for YOURSELF first, and then for anyone who HAPPENS to like it.
Now look what you just made me do. And I am supposed to be calm. - rulezadded on the 2001-12-28 21:18:48
- 64k Windows fr-08: .the .product by Farbrausch [web]
- I have too watched this demo a hundred times by now. Yes, it still rules. The music is fantastic, even *without* taking into account how it is generated. Some textures are simply incredible. The camera moves are very well done. Personally, I have no design objections about the product whatsoever. Frankly, I can not think how this could be better in any way. It is simply awesome.
Of course, anybody has the right to hate it, I can understand that, not everyone thinks and feels the same way. I have to mention though that I have this stinking impression that popularity and the top 10 is calculated by page visits *only*. So voting it down does not take it off the top spot, it just misleads people. And, for the last of it, forget about the top 10! In my book, it does not have Second Reality in it or State of the art, so it doesn't make any sense anyway. - isokadded on the 2001-12-28 01:28:08

- 256b MS-Dos tube by 3SC [web]
- Let us not fool ourselves. The 256b compo is a coder thing. Where coding skill comes first and design second. However this is nicely done, the colors are cute. Which is a nice plus. The effect could have lousy colors and it would still be top notch.
However, everyone is entitled to an opinion, nomatter how strange or even unfair it may be. - isokadded on the 2001-12-27 14:06:44
- demo Windows xmasdemo by Unique [web]
- It does not really get the message across, the music seems more spooky than dissapointing. On the other hand the visuals promise something good will happen but it does not (obviously). But its nicely done. The scene is quite nice, the music of high quality.
It is big, though. Call me old-fashioned, but this music could fit in a module so that they would not have to include a huge mp3 in the archive.
A big thanx goes out to Unique for releasing this. I really like people who do stuff outside competitions, just for the fun of it. Good work! - isokadded on the 2001-12-26 23:03:44
