• demo Windows Kasparov by Elitegroup [web]
• Seeing the name of the group, the annoying handles of the members, and the series of arrogant intros released before the party, I was itching to put the boot in upon seeing this demo. And then I did. And I realized that the absolute worst part about the whole thing is that Kasparov is utterly, completely brilliant. Fabulous atmpspheric music synced perfectly with gorgeous, stark yet lush 3D scenes with brief bursts of blurs and distortions that personally remind me an awful lot of the greetings part in Wayfarer (but that is beside the point). I didn't want to like this demo. But I had to. Damn you, Elitegroup. The glowing fluid in the tanks was particularly nice.

• Good overall design and atmosphere. I reallylike the change in music and colors in the middle of the tunnel part.

• No comments yet? Tch, eh? Anyway, Maggie was always a good read. Looking back on it now it's an interesting snapshot of the time when it was written - though I suppose any diskmag is. Anyway, Maggie is well-written, interesting, and often quite amusing. One of the best, if not THE best.

• Plenty of wonderful extra details inside the superb menu, fantastic graphics and effects. I like it, even though I have to use the cheat to get to the demo screens.

• Very. very good. The colors are perfect, a nice change from the usual bright rainbows flashing across the screen.
  
  Not that I have anything against the rainbows, mind you.. but this one is beautiful.
