- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Rink a Dink: REDUX by Lemon.
- @sp: Where is your A500 demo you planned for Breakpoint 2008 ?
Paradroid announced and delivered ! - isokadded on the 2013-04-11 22:14:26
- demo Linux Windows MacOSX Intel 1 Finger by Kewlers [web]
- Well, I've been to Mayday and although the tune might sort of fit the nostalgia, the visuals can't live up to it -- just as the X-Mix coop with MFX failed in 2004 ). Folks, dare to put some more green and orange into the scenery and it might just work better.
Also I'm not so much a fan of dead-centred object-stakkato.
The laser looked nice, though ... but ... greeeeen people ;) - isokadded on the 2013-04-06 15:16:51
- demo Amiga AGA Stealth Ranger by Moods Plateau [web]
- The original inspiration for the musical score came from this title theme by the Barry Gray Orchestra for the Mariott TV series Stingray ( I always wanted to play that tune the moment Sting0r is entering the partyhall ).
I think all this awesome response has now generated enough gravity so that Novel has to release a full-quality final version of that soundtrack soonish :)
The Ranger himself clearly is drawn upon Captain Chaos from the infamous Cannonball Run -- it just fitted hand-in-glove with Charlie's pan-european rallye.
In retrospective, this piece is one big proof that sychronicity exists because at the Prizegiving Charlie told us that he long pondered to make a little demo about exactly this trip with routemap and adventures during the journey :D
P.S. if anyone wants to help me fix that annoying little Sprite glitch in the parallax/greetings scene, here's the place to kick my butt. - isokadded on the 2013-04-05 11:40:30
- demo Windows Saudade by Satori [web] & Halcyon
- I had an inkling about this one when I saw it with together with Corial. After it was over we agreed that "there's something in there".
Yeah, and it really is a neat alchemical journey - or marriage, really - expressed by colour and sound. - rulezadded on the 2013-04-05 00:16:06

- we are living in and are part of an incomprehensibly huge selforganising fractally structured organism of plasma discharges
My favourite parts were the mossy-lichenous plants and the lost ancient ruines :)

- demo Amiga AGA Machinist by Elude [web]
- I'm torn apart between all the polarity this one creates. I of course love the high end approach Kiero's doing and the 3D models bring the milk shake to the yard ( ...literally in this one :D ). But it makes me cry when the whole thing is skipping so many frames on the 060/50MHz ( the standard Amiga-Scener setup, barring the overclocking User-community) that the scenes are not really enjoyable anymore.
BUT, then again, I was able to get a glimpse of the whole situation beforehand in the ADA Revision "pit-lane" thread where you posted that it will be a very short call this year (again), and so I'm figuring that this version may not be a fully optimised one.
If there's one thing I've learned from watching the C64 guys' productions, it would be that: good transitions will win the day.
And transitions take time; as much time as the synchronisation of the scenes to the soundtrack. - rulezadded on the 2013-04-04 12:02:56
- demo Windows Exoframe by Cocoon [web]
- cocoon = ace 3D models, brilliant colour schemes, fine fonts & typography, fitting overlays, a bunch of well placed and well executed effects. And this time even powered by Protracker ;)
I think the only thing that kept this from the top was the missing "OMG, imma shit bricks" effect, perfectly locked at the peak of a carefully crafted arc. - rulezadded on the 2013-04-04 11:39:19
- demo Amiga AGA Stealth Ranger by Moods Plateau [web]
- @bittin: don't you tempt Novel to think about another game idea when he even didn't finish his Magnum Opus "Trip 2 Breakpoint" yet ;D
OTOH, if someone's thinkin' about actually making a tiny game of this, you can have the original sprites and landscape BObs, just ask. - isokadded on the 2013-04-04 00:36:29
- game Nintendo Wii Pissed by Genesis Project [web] & Nuance [web]
- Totally hysterical. Great step-up from the already brilliant Ironing Maiden. Wolf again providing an excellent fitting souondtrack, although my heart still beats for his Bruce Dickinson impersonation ;D

- demo Amiga AGA Smoke & Mirrors by Ghostown & Loonies [web]
- @Blueberry: how much FastRAM does this Steampunk Engine eat ? I'm getting "not enough free memory" returns trying to run it on reduced OS configs that give me: 1.9 MB Chip and 63.9 MB Fast
