- demo Linux Windows megademo by Hackefuffel [web]
- Gargaj :) Actually I don't like it either, but you should at least get a decent PC for running demos, you know demoscene PC coders never optimize... 3.2 GHz?? runs 100+ FPS here, problem fixed ;)
Music is not cheesy enough, effects are trying to be pixeled but not doing them the same way, most scenes are not related to the typical megademo parts, etc. It's sort of how you'd make some starts in OpenGL back when and unimaginatively replicate sort-of the effects with the blitter and textures. Lame.
So the humor misses. But the lamery is a finished demo with no artifacts, and I presume it has pixeled graphics by Gizmo, which is rare enough these days. So that takes it north of sucks for me.
There should be more megademos! But they just fall flat on PC. - isokadded on the 2017-07-13 15:26:54
- demo Windows Soundproof Motion by Fairlight [web] & Logicoma [web]
- 50 MB... but some good ideas, deserved more TLC and static background got to you after a couple scenes, but for a speedprod you spent the time on the right stuff! Certainly good enough for a thumb - the start piqued interest, and the sweep face tried for a classic shot.

- Proof of concept it is.
It's too bad Microsoft uses everything it can to force everyone into their spyware, spontaneous-reset OS. That's just techno-politics. You shouldn't support that when writing a new engine. Now is a good time to write an engine for Vulkan instead. - isokadded on the 2017-07-13 14:32:15

- demo Windows a boy and a girl go to the moon by ukscene allstars [web]
- The visuals were to made to love or hate, and there's no style or direction in them. I guess I hate them despite the music.

- demo Atari STe Midnight Sun by Dead Hackers Society [web]
- Reminds of Sea of Color, thumb for floppy disks support, music was cheesy but good and synthy, and I liked the oscillo twister!

- 96k Atari ST Force by Dekadence [web]
- Good compression! Just can't get past the depressing theme & music and the word salads...

- Megademos are a top nostalgia kick, and this is one of the best. :) Music still kicks!
Noby maybe get a feel for what they are? A medley of one-screeners done by all members as a short-term tour de force - showed the overall strength of the group. No common theme or style, and this was understood, even expected. - rulezadded on the 2017-07-07 21:31:52
