- demo Atari ST Suretrip 49% by Checkpoint [web]
- Imagine my surprise when I saw it: It was around '99, and I wasn't even aware that there was an atari scene, let alone make such demos :)
A few words about the demo: Technically awesome, first time I ever saw multi-VBL fullscreens that had more than an "in your face" effect.
Some design would be a definite plus, but, as stated, it's unfinished. So, better an unfinished demo, than one that lies on hold (forever!) until it's perfect.
A pure culture shock! - rulezadded on the 2005-08-23 14:37:01

- demo Atari XL/XE Maze by Zelax
- Well, if we compare it to Numen (speed wise), it certainly is fast, so... thumbs up (plus, it's 8-bit code!)

- demo Windows Iconoclast by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- To clarify a bit my posts (as most flame wars usually start over misunderstandings):
This is not a personal attack at asd or anyone. It's just my views on demos, and well, since asd's demo was the winning one at asm 05, I only watched that one from the entire compo (yes I know, but I still only have a feeble 56k modem at home).
For some reason, most PC demos really bore me to tears and usually don't watch them till the end. My first post reflected some of this (maybe a bit too aggresively? Apologies for those who felt offended. I just felt frustrated for DLing something over modem only to find out that I didn't like at all).
I could go on and on, but bottom line: Keep creating people, I won't bother you again. - isokadded on the 2005-08-08 08:31:17
