- boring?
I've probably watched it some hundred times now. still amazing, still brilliant.it's something about the mood that really make this intro rock. The part inside the church/chapel (?) is beautiful, both because of the scene and the music. Modelling vox/choir-instruments is not that easy.
unimpressive to non-sceners?
try showing it to your average CS/q*/UT-player, and tell them to compare the size of the intro with the size of their game's install directory. They will refuse to believe it's a 64k from the first scene.
and the music is insanely good :) the synth, the modelling of instruments and the track, it all rules.
a great intro, and far better than the productions of all the idiots slagging it off. including macaw. - rulezadded on the 2001-11-16 11:46:50
- demo Gameboy Advance Great Juicy Gypsy by Nocturnal [web]
- whehey :)
and some of us were fortunate enough to watch on neon's gba, at the partyplace, ten seconds after the final compile :)
and it's nice too :) - rulezadded on the 2001-11-13 02:34:06
- 64k Windows mother, mother my eyes hurt by Haujobb
- for some reason "expressions of art" always look like shit to me. this sound sounds like shit too. no disrespect, it's just not something I can like. oh and btw: xhale even said at the partyplace that he thought it was cool when someone said "is there something wrong with the display?". so hopefully he will find this comment cool too :)

- demo Windows 3pm.lived (prot3kt0r) by Nocturnal [web]
- dent is gorgeous as always in this magnificent movie picture from nocturnal. One could only wish for less clothes, and everything would be perfect :o)

- demo Windows Sinum by T-Rex [web]
- The part which I like the most, and is a bit surprised that noone else has commented on, is the dancer early in the demo. Lovely movement, and the particles spraying from his hands is a really nice touch :) And I also liked the hands with the metaballs.
For the music I must say that it would have been better if the guitar-riff had been sampled as a whole. Riffs made out of one muted and one open stroke seldom sounds good :) But the guitar definately fit, it's just not done well enough.
Oh and yeah.. why the hell do I get frameskips in the endprt, when I have a 1.2ghz athlon and a GeForce2? That should not have been necessary :/
Anyway, I like the mood in the demo, so a "rulez" from me as well :) - rulezadded on the 2001-10-23 12:54:38
- demo Atari ST Virtual Escape by Equinox [web]
- This demo kicks unbelievable ass :) I can't wait to get my monitor-to-scart cable fixed, so I can see it on a real ST, in stead of a crappy emu.
