- demotool Windows PictConv by Defence Force [web]
- I'm going to release the source as well, like the rest of the OSDK it will be on my svn repository, but I wanted to iron out some bugs and style issues first - I had to do some hacks to make PictConv work on the Atari ST, and I have to run my regression test suite first to make sure it still works fine for the Oric conversions.
The old version is here:
http://miniserve.defence-force.org/svn/public/pc/tools/osdk/main/pictconv/
this version only support very basic shifter formats, ste colors are bugged, and there is no multi-palettes.

- demo Atari ST Morphonic Lab.VI by Checkpoint [web]
- Too long for my taste, a bit repetitive as well, but some very nice parts.

- Ok, for people who are interested, I released the picture conversion tool I used on this demo, you can get it there.
You still have time to release your own 20th anniversary tribute!

- demotool Windows PictConv by Defence Force [web]
- As promised, here is PictConv, the picture converte I used to generate the pictures in Save The Earth.
There are of course some existing tools to convert standard formats (PNG, etc...) to Atari formats, but most of them have a GUI, which make them very unpractical to use if you are doing the development using makefiles and automated build scripts.
The tool handles Atari and Oric formats, and can be a bit rough on the edges, but heck, if it worked for me, should work for you :D - isokadded on the 2009-11-28 21:56:19
- demo Windows fr-055: 828 by Farbrausch [web]
- Mixed feels. I do like some scenes (underwater, bubbles, red parts), and I really did not like others.

- Photon: Was not really retaliation, was just stating that I was not happy by what you called the demo (if it had been retaliation I would have thumbed down, and I did not).
That being said, even if it was not in overscan, even if there was not palette changes on every-picture, until proved otherwise there are sprites, zomming logos, distorters, wobbling reflections, raster bars, and scrolltexts. If this does not count as "demo-like object" for somebody like you who obviously are dealing in the oldchool department as well (by judging by your blitter sweet intro), then I don't know what it is.

- demo Windows Sound Pressure by xplsv [web]
- Mixed feelings, possibly cool to watch with the party mood - like in a rave party -, but boring if you are at home in front of your compute.

- Not the best TMDC intro ever, not the worse either - what evilpaul said :)

- demo Windows Sky Cluster Prophecy by Matt Current [web]
- Was good looking, but my feeling when watching it was "Variform with colors" - don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Mfx -
