- 64k Windows fr-minus-017: coderpr0n by Farbrausch [web]
- One of those "awful at home, great with a crowd" things.

- 64k Windows Parallaxelerator by Inque [web]
- Colors and shading are just too blunt, objects not interesting enough, music accomplished, but too generic sounding. Just didn't grab me. :|

- demo Windows Calcifer by Still [web]
- I don't follow the wave of excitement here. Looks and sounds too much like an inferior, more somber version of what we have seen from these guys before.

- demo Windows muoto by Traction [web] & Brainstorm [web]
- An animated Piet Mondrian painting in 3D. I can dig it.
Direction is a bit lackluster though. There's no tension, just the lazy change-cam-by-beat synching. - rulezadded on the 2013-08-19 07:17:24
- 64k Windows 905509 by Stroboholics
- Too good for stroboholics, not good enough for a "serious" release. Some of those scenes look very yummy though. Could have been (even) better. :)

- demo SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive Overdrive by Titan [web]
- Ah, some actual oldschool shit, not just in name only. Also the most non-MegaDrive/FM sounding music I've ever heard out of this machine. Good job.

alles so schön bunt hier
And not just colorful, but pretty too. Although I'm not so fond of the formless "fog/cloud shading" on the marching cubes, that was way too fuzzy lookin'. :) - rulezadded on the 2013-08-18 17:25:38
- demo Windows Return by Pyrotech
- So, this is the most ignored ASM winner since... 2008 or so, the last time these guys won. And oh boy, It's yet another mixed bag of potatoes, as they try to channel ASD yet again, only to come out as SDS, yet again. Why do they keep doing this? Maybe because it works, not artistically, but who can argue with the voters. ;)
It's not all that bad though, it runs very well on 4+ years old GPUs and there are some on-your-nose, but decently presented scenes that I like (f.e. the train station). But overall, it's the overwhelming feeling of genericness and artistic mediocrity that keeps it from being more than just forgettable. - isokadded on the 2013-08-17 13:17:38
- game Windows Scyventure by Matti Ruupunen
- Retro done right? Or at least, that's what it looked like. And I always liked shmups, so here you go.
(I didn't bother with the XNA install orgy though, but I liked the presentation well enough for a thumb up.) - rulezadded on the 2013-08-17 12:46:44
- 4k JavaScript HBC-00013: Highway 4k by ½-bit Cheese [web] & Tekotuotanto
- As a 4k intro amongst other 4k intros, it's a rather mediocre achievement, barely beating stuff that was released up to ten years ago. The sounds are thin and the action barely par for the course (weak pun alert!).
But as a 4k in Javascript/WebGL, it's quite brilliant and certainly a milestone and probably the only ASM '13 thing that had some kind of wow factor to it. - rulezadded on the 2013-08-17 12:33:33
