It looks interesting! But why there're torn edges and sharp transitions
To speed up output to the screen, I draw only one plan per render cycle. That is, only every fourth pixel (mode-x is planar mode) Whereas in the buffer the movement continues. This is just an experiment. - isokadded on the 2023-09-12 17:55:08

- Eh... It turns out, on modern hardware reproducing this line-by-line hi-color imitation is problem. At least for displaying intro at the party. Their projector did not support the 800x600 mode (which dosbox sets to play this intro, when setting "fullresolution=original"). If you arbitrarily stretch the frame, the trick is lost (or anti-aliasing is added, which will also ruin the effect).
PS: although, as I understand from the documentation, that projector model could still show the intro in the correct resolution, but if the projector was connected to analog VGA input . But in the end, this intro is not worth the hassle).
intro should look something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vzr8LDSQnoo :) - isokadded on the 2023-09-12 17:00:35

- @Kuemmel: my setup like that. But... I don't know why. What is the minimum number of cycles required? After all, "Max" depends on the speed of the CPU.

- Cool hardcore bytebeat ;) (strange, but I have no sound in Dosbox)
