- Chromosome party? Is that some sort of veiled reference to question Plek's sexuality?

- ector: I meant that it ran at stupidly high framerates. :)
I understand this is a fast-prod, but that's my point. Why not do less releases, and just try to make every production as cool as you can?
And the fact that there are so many thumbs up for a fast-prod made me want to properly critique it. So there.
Additional big words for today: 'cromulent' and 'embiggen'. - isokadded on the 2002-05-15 21:44:06

- I don't like this. But since this particular DXM doesn't really have lat0r associated with it allow me to explain why:
- The colors look like they were deemed 'too random' for Jizz
- The 'video' blur (as it was called) just uglifies everything and throws away any detail (if any) that was there originally
- The radial blur is simply an overused effect, and it is used here in the most uninventive way possible (ie. take a boring old effect, add blur, done)
- The music is icky, but that's a DXM-staple, so I'll let that slide
- The end-pic
- The total lack of coherency
- Just because you coded skinning doesn't mean it is cool per se.
Positive things:
- It's actually pretty nippy
I guess I'm ranting here just because it's all so damn unimaginative. - sucksadded on the 2002-05-14 18:41:47

- well... the design is totally sucky ofcourse. but guess what, it wasn't pretentious and it moved along swiftly with some nice effects that did not just consist of additive planes.
(and this positive review has nothing to do with my bald-women-fetish, which I don't have, I hasten to add) - rulezadded on the 2002-05-13 22:41:21

if you're going to do a grid of cubes at least try avoiding going right through them. - isokadded on the 2002-05-12 20:19:05

- The last effect looked cool, the rest was a tad ugly. But at least it's different, and that counts!
It ran fine under XP here. And people who are concerned with 'uptime' suck. - rulezadded on the 2002-05-03 13:44:26

- The wobble-effect only occurs when the monitor settings change in such a severe way that the monitor needs to realign all the internal circuitry and so on and so forth. Handling vsync changes (like in kb's effect) would also normally result in such behaviour, but since the changes are so minimal the monitor is still able to maintain sync and keep showing you the picture (although it still 'messes up' the vertical position, but that was the intention of the effect).

- I don't think so. Turok/Need For Speed 2 SE come to mind.
