- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Straff by Spaceballs [web]
- Animation presented as effect, so thumb goes down obviously.
Going for 'wow' again with attacking music (which is perfect except for the patented seriously low samplerate). Lots of work put into scripting, running, generating the data that is to make the scenes flashy and glitchy. Nicely packaged. - sucksadded on the 2015-04-24 22:47:09
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Vold by Spaceballs [web]
- Didn't enjoy it, I think mostly from the late 90s/early 2000s depressing (for me) general mood the visuals and music create.
I don't mind it, I can see you were trying for "dubstep awesome" (which it can be!), it's just that I seem to get a choice between chunky or 1 bitplane effects during the whole demo, and neither are visually appealing. - isokadded on the 2015-04-24 22:08:09
- cracktro Amiga AGA Amiga OCS/ECS Tecnoball Z Cracktro by Scoopex [web]
- Everything looks like shit except the egg...
Thumbdown to balance out the horrible selfvoting going on in here!!
Hidden easter egg that is actually... an Easter egg... well that was the little joke. Hoho. It was ready but family reasons trump release dates every day of the year. - sucksadded on the 2015-04-19 22:49:31
- 64k Amiga OCS/ECS eighteen by Dekadence [web]
- Pretty nice, and excellent job fitting it all into 64k :)
Dan: at least 384 "sprites" are possible on Amiga (without using sprites, of course...). A few less if you decide to not go full cynical lamer like the ST record. More, if you actually use *real* sprites. ;)
Going CPU only, MHz for MHz ("if you are good at optimizing"), the Amiga can do 5% more sprites than the ST record (reserving some time for proper music and scroller).
This is all with four bitplanes on.
If Leonard (I think it is?) responds to the record part he'll probably have a problem with the vertical mirroring, but then again he knows what he did to pull off his record so probably he won't raise a fuss ;) - rulezadded on the 2015-04-11 01:49:28

- demo Windows Ziphead by Fairlight [web] & Carillon & Cyberiad [web]
- Sorry, "dependencies" was for another demo.
Agree about the single theme, but it's driven and mixed up with other scenes for variety, and it's energetic with a suitable track.
Agree about the disco ball, although it would probably work with more filters. Everything works with more filters ;)
It's made in the compowinner style, and as such I think it's pretty much perfect :) - rulezadded on the 2015-04-06 23:47:54
