- demo Commodore 64 Andropolis by Booze Design & Instinct
- Neat, but I felt direction was lacking. Some parts with really cool effects set a really good pace in the beginning, and then I saw rotozooming checkerboards and a 3D world for about five times as long as they would need to make a point. Still a thumbup though.

- 64k Amiga PPC/RTG Planet Potion by Potion
- I'll admit I'm not as hyped for Planet Potion as I once was for fr-08 and fr-019, but technically it feels far superior to both; in fact it still feels on par with many present-day PC 64ks. Half a kingdom for a proper video capture! :(

- Yeah, I had mixed feelings about this one as well. Kinda surprised it won, but competition wasn't particularly strong that year, so eh.

- (The slowdown happens on the wireframe scenes in particular. For instance, the tunnel scene runs perfectly fine the first time, but stutters when the effect is applied near the end of the demo.)

- Would've loved to give this demo a platform thumb, but this looks like a 64k, feels rushed, and features a lot of cheap and cliched effects, scenes repeated twice with different effects, and so on. The Windows version also slows down to a crawl on an OC'd GTX 460, go figure.

- Can't say I enjoyed it much (somehow even Desert Dream had better flow in my opinion, while also dragged out), but at least music and pixel art here deserve a thumb, so there.
