  On the CPC, sending data to a register on the AY is really expensive because it requires using the PPI 8255. Where 2 OUT ports are sufficient on the ZX, MSX or VG5000, 5 or 6 are needed for the CPC.

• AYT (AY Turbo) is a new music file format for AY-3-891x and compatible circuits.
  
  AYT files are produced from YM files.
  Many tools have been created around this format, some of which can be used directly online (e.g., YM->AYT converter, YM/AYT player, YM sequencer, AYT Jukebox).
  
  Z80A players have been created on several old-school platforms, such as the Amstrad CPC, Amstrad Plus, MSX, ZX SPECTRUM 128, and VG 5000 (with the VG 5210 sound card).
  These players have the particularity of occupying little memory space, being very (very) fast, and operating in constant cycles.

  - the original one which doesn't work : on crtc 2, on some real Cpc, on emulators other than the author's
  - the patched version which work : on all CPC with 128k (almost 73.34% of Cpcs), all emulators, all CRTCs.
