The mix of mode 0,1,2 in a single screen does it for me. Circular dots are nice but were long on the stream. Final part had great mix of various graphics. Need to watch it on real CPC to appreciate it more.

@optimus this is an oldschool format. So press key to go the next part, it's then up to you to change the duration (although it automatically changes after around 6 min)

In the readme file there are the information to directly start the part of your choice (and thus skip the dots ;))

Compatible with all CPCs! Great!

The code is really solid and I also noticed major improvements over the previous BND prods in the visuals.
I'm especially pleased to hear the audio by Warlord, who was introduced to us with a music disk a few months ago.
Bravo!!

This was so walking on the edge of being too technical! I am so happy it balanced away from that. :D

Does this mean you are taking over onescreeners from Vanity?

Amazing production that I can’t wait to watch on my Plus later! Some real shocking technical feats here!

Congrats for this demo! Very technical, and strong design. The music is also very good (love that Follins-like chords!). The multi-part format may seem a bit "deprecated", but it works great anyway. Well done!

Oh Waw!
Greats direction in the intro, lot of technical details (in the dots part, mix of mode 0/1 in the HUD!), Hsync rulez! Lot of sweat, for sure.

Great video mode mixing and magical "copper" gradient. Nice work.

Thanks rhino, but the gradient is an unwanted capture artifact ;)
I'm impressed revision people succeeded in doing a capture without this artifact

The 3 mode split-screen is awesome, but main image in the 2nd part is somehow off-putting and the prod's name is painfully cheesy.

Thanks for the comments!

It all started with my curiosity about the intro screens for Onescreen Colonies 1 and Scroll Factory. I wondered why those screens were static and why the mode change, made possible after generating an horizontal blanking, happened at a specific point.

So I analyzed the code for Scroll Factory and then had some fun moving the position of the blanking zone. I saw that there was a wide range of possibilities, and the idea of making it move with an effect came to me.

The prototype for the scrolls in Make It Easy (spot the reference!) was ready for the Benediction Coding Party #4. Then I suggested to Krusty that we incorporate mode changes into his Polar Dots part as a decorative element. The idea for the intro came later, on paper, and then I found the courage to code it. A multitude of tests, often empirical, on the real machines were necessary for the CRTC adaptations to hide various artifacts caused by the technique. It’s probably not perfect, the pros will do better!

The intro grew thanks to the graphic and technical contributions of RetroVynz, who is participating in a demo for the first time. Well done and welcome!

The rest is the result of the daily, relentless work of Krusty, Voxfreax, and Warlord to achieve the best possible synchronization and a demo that loops seamlessly.

I admit that this technique might not be very interesting to those unfamiliar with the CPC, but I’m sure that seeing multiple modes on the same line always makes an impression on CPC enthusiasts!

Watch it on a real CTM!

@BSC: sorry, but we managed to avoid some even worse puns involving H, B, and L! ;)
