yep, this is cool.

very neat stuff, recommended for, well, nearly anybody.

p.s. : I like the audio vs. code&gfx ratio =)

Wow, this is a refreshing change from the usual. And the music fits in perfectly. On the downside, it's basically the same few things over and over and over again. But despite this, I feel I must award this original effort with a thumbs up.

Good music. Original. But ugly, didn't like it. I've liked other satori prods much better.

good design, centered around building a perfect
match between the musical instruments and the
graphical entities... some of the mappings are
great. didn't enjoy the soundtrack on the first listen,
so far it seemed too straightforward to be rewarding.

Whop! great stuph from satori again. Graphics are nicely minimal without being boring and the music is so very very wacky:)

If this'd be a newcomer's release everybody would say it sucks cuz there's such a thin line between 'few chaotic patterns' and wanna-be 'art' :) Anyway, I watched it about 3 times yesterday ;]
rulez added on the 2001-12-18 11:15:03 by baze baze
Very impressive! Perhaps the first demo that takes full advantage on synching all instruments into differend output. It gets hypnotic when you stare at this thing for a while, trying to figure everyhing that is happening on the screen.

Great concept, only music could've been a bit more rewarding.
rulez added on the 2001-12-18 11:27:49 by melw melw
the effects are _too_ simple. the basic idea is great. i must agree with baze, though i'll twist it and say that this is wannabe-art (it's not really a demo).
wow wow wow! is great! all synchronized.. great style!.. the music is a little poor.. but.. good prod!

Hard to say whether every sound is synched into something or whether there's just so much going on that every sound seems to be synched to something =)

Very minimal and at the same time nothing but minimal, in a way. Interesting.

Am I missing something? All I saw were some garish lines moving in time to a rhythm.

I guess I'm not pretentious enough to appreciate this demo.

I love Zden's style, and this is about as extreme as it gets.

You'll find this in the dictionary under "Synaesthesia".

Hahaha, good idea! Not enough variety though... the same stuff happens over and over, but it's still good

Satori rocks as usually. Really nice, very hypnotic and I agree there isn't perhaps enough variety and without a 100 per cent fitting music it would probably get boring, but now it just adds to the hypnotic feeling.

Holy mackerel. This is my new bestest favoritest demo, and I'll tell you why. First, my comment:

Awesome music, awesome gfx, overall awesome idea. I love the whole chaotic theme of everything, and it all seems to flow nicely together. And the sync? Second to none.

Do you want to know why? Here's the best part.

The demo takes it's cues right out of the XM file! Insert your favorite *.xm file in place of b10.xm (appropriately named, of course), and you have a new demo! Ever wish someone made a demo with your favorite song? And with awesome sync, to boot? Now you can have it!

Of course, chaotic multichannel XMs work best, but anything will do.

satori/Elwood, anyone?

MWAHAHAHAHA!!! Satori, i love you! ^_^
rulez added on the 2002-04-11 01:15:33 by laserbeams laserbeams
i agree with mrmessiah, b10 could simply be defined as the perfect synaesthesia. i'd say that by choosing very simply visual elements (to map 1:1 against the sounds) zden made the implementation of the synaesthesia-
concept a lot clearer and direct.¨

In case you didn't realize, music/visual synchronisation is not new. Coloured lines and dots are not new. This demo is recycled and outdated crap.

I have to admit that I usually don't like watching Satori prods on the big screen, as they usually make you think, and really need a certain mood to be enjoyed in. Something that a shitfaced scener might not be able to do on a Saturday night with belgian beer - or well, at least I can't.

Somehow, with a nice cup of coffee and the day being Sunday - these demos fit my mood and mindset. Really enjoyed this one,- by only knowing a handful of Satori demos so far, this one felt very clean compared to others, and I still found little details I didn't noticed on watching it the first time.

Really love how very minimalistic, clean pixel graphics,- along with this intense palette, go together with a grimey tune. Nicely done, and timelessly elegant - even after eleven years - this is very enjoyable.

For what it's worth: I like it much better today than on 2001-12-22. ;)

The strong, but busy minimalism (in a way, very Japanese) and the mild synesthesia inducing coupling with the music do have an odd appeal, indeed. :)
