Probably the best plasma ever made on the ST. Too bad it's just a single screen without music.

Worthless knowing: During the compo at the party, Omega sang "Ekorren satt i granen" to compensate for the lack of music.

A short Google Video clip of the plasma

Quite nice indeed.
:p if only the sin/cos talbes add more precision

p01: Remember you can only sync the x-position by one nop (4 pixels)

I know and I realize doing (more) fixed point calculation would eat quite a few precious nops.

But one can clearly see on the screenshot some glitches due to adding several ( not so precise ) cos/sin tables.

I'm more playing the devil's advocate here because I can only think of one as/more impressive plasma ... alas I can't remember the name of screen. It featured some so called x,y and z distortions but only had pure black to red/green/blue gradients mixed together.

Perhaps the one by Overlanders in the Lightning megademo ? That's a lot smaller than this one, but it's very nice, I agree :)

However, when thinking closely, as this one mixes more than one layer you can't do the "nop" trick to sync down to four pixels either, so it's probably twelve pixel x-accuracy per individual layer, and a possibly "main" movement for all layers at four pixels accuracy.

good point on the 1nop accuracy of the 'main' wave VS 3nop accuracy per layer.

Excellent, I did not know this one!
I guess they did not include any music to have the highest number of scanlines left at the bottom for the plasma sync.
