Typical racist undercurrent, as with all Ate-Bit prods, but this is rockin'!

A racist 256b cube? Do we deplore the sentiment, or admire the optimizing, or can we do both things at the same time ?!?

CiH ;)

Of course there's nothing racist about this or any other Ate Bit prod, I was just trying to wind up evilpaul (think I succeeded)
Arf! Nice one!

Indeed, tho' this came 6th it's quite a nice production for the size-coding.

Nice cube! I think the racism thing needs a bit more explaining though. The 3d guy on this prod was a legend back in the early 90s, but years of lsd abuse turned him into a racist thug, and he joined C17 (the public domain software branch of combat 18). It's actually very kind of evilpaul to let him do the modelling on this - it's at least keeping him off the streets and honky bashing.

I don't understand much the coding things in the background in fact, but if you say it rulez, it simply does! Just thumb up for evilpaul!

Could only run on a ZX Spectrum 128 in Spectaculator 6.25. And it's 377 bytes, not 256 ...

... but still a thumb for programming abandon-hardware :-)

steel: traditionally ZX (and other 8-bit?) intros don't count the basic loader towards the size limit. And embedded metadata in emulator files definitely doesn't count (or should we start counting FAT table entries on PC 256b intros too...?)

Gasman, yeah that's it.
I would have thought the Speccy would be able to do this a bit faster with its mighty 3.5 MHz.

I'd liked to see it rotating also the other side, and more faster, but I like it!

I wonder if this can be a joke about a certain C64 prod (I'm thinking about this one)? Anyway, the code, with all its copying and improving ROM routines is much more fun!
