I enjoyed going through the blue lines, nice idea!
Cool, I remember an old DOS game Pizza Worm with the rotational snake, instead of 90 degrees. And the blue passages is a good idea to improve this.

We do not have enough colors in medium resolution
I guess it wont change the gameplay a lot
Changing snake behaviour yes! shorter turns, allowing to go straight, boucing on borders, ...
