Intel Demo Competition 2007

category: general [glöplog]
I love the impressive design - that's art direction in my opinion, which counts a lot... my personal winner is flt...

also the other releases are top :-)

by the way, the sync in our video is about 2 seconds out. :)

LOL!
From STILL's readme: "(sorry: no time for optimizing)"
From the demo: "optimized for intel quad core"
xD

xernobyl: that's obviously a clear message that every lazy coder should get a quad core!
That will be why the flt demo looked a bit randomly synced then I guess?

I'll have to check the binaries out later, see how slow they all run on this box. Still's demo is looking like the ruler for me this time so far though.

I still have to watch xlsv and fairlight. Still is winning so far.

rainmaker: btw, on this demo it was an army of two :)

Yeah but destop should be counted as atleast 3 persons because he's just so damn good.

what, you sts guys get bored if the screen isnt flashing and pulsing for more than a split second? ;)

You're confusing me with someone else ;) But we at mfx like it when it's flashing and flashing even more ;)

ASD is clearly my favourite. Still is second and Synesthetics a good third one. Didn't care so much for the Xplsv and Fairlight demos.
well, at least pretty much every team brought their a game. :) all these demos stand out pretty well amongst this year's pc releases so far.

Yeah, it's cool to participate in a compo free of joke prods that may get the votes of drunk people from time to time :)

flow and true demofeeling

my personal two cents: the conception of what a demo flow should be like to achieve the "true demofeeling" is exactly what's wrong with the demoscene.

Suposedly I can only vote for one demo, right? How does that work?

I second Reed.

I think you can vote for all the groups, but only once.. so, If you dislike a prod, you don't vote that one. Am I wrong?

i thought it meant you can only pick your favourite?

the "demo flow" to convey the "true demofeeling" means pleasing the same people with the same shit over and over again. and once someone drops the term a dozen thumbs go up ... :(
