Maybe both came from an older cartoon I don't know. Perhaps there has been some kind of agreement. Maybe some Cocoon dude works in that company. Or it is just fairly old news and in any case I'm just clueless.
But in case none of these statements apply, can someone (possibly from Cocoon) tell me more about it ?
Oh, haha, the sketches on the one on that site are more funny tho (imho). A little bit of light in this case would be great.

actually, it's a usual concept as i know, like the suicide barbie thing used by the black lotus. still, if there's no one-to-one copy as in timba's case, it's not a blasphemy nor it is an ethnic crime to "get influenced" and "re-realize" a concept!

bunch of sherlocks: that owl+woodpecker thing used to be a mtv artvideo (you know those MTV videos they show inbetween clips) years and years ago and that's where their inspiration came from, i assume.
@Maali : I'm sorry I didn't watch MTV (actually, no I'm not : kill your TV !) but anyway, thanks for the tip, Maali.

I fairly bet it's the same guy who invented those characters...

The nickname of the GFX artist in the demo is Azo.
And the guy name behind the TV program is Alexandre So.

Sounds very similar. Azo <-> Alexandre So.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge oxb + Maali.
Now I can officially feel stupid :)

Too bad my first thread is dead already...
"ignoring something" != "being stupid"

Cheer up, Dunk_Poet. :)

Well it's a nice thing if some Cocoon guy is there and making it a real show! The Glon243 thing was a cool show to my friends who didn't understand demos but could enjoy that one. And some asked me why doesn't they released next series with more sketches and stuff. The concept and animation is still unique compared to other popular sketch shit! Now after 6 years I see it again and hopefully into several shows =)

Uhm, seems like the preview feature wasn't that useful after all....

Thoughtlessly clicking "submit" has simply become a force of habit. It'll take years of brain rewiring before I can use "preview" successfully.
That removing the Submit button from regular views, and only show it on the preview page.

Nytrik just confirmed by IM that Azo = Alexandre So. Which, to me, is quite interesting, are there any other cases link this one? (a demo that ended up being extended as a cartoon... or maybe a game?)

still, i wonder who did the mtv one then (cant find the video on youtube, so i hope my mind aint playing tricks with me :S)
The mystery continues...
..was it yet another shane-less rip?
