Rob: It's actually a play on "Elements" by Haujobb and "828" by Farbrausch, which both feature static spider meshes with horribly low-res shadowmaps. :)
gloom: right on. First thing that came into my mind were those horrible jpeg artifacts in 828 and elements. Especially elements. Where they blind or something ? it completely ruins it !
