magic: yep, i'd expect the entire scene to find this indefensible - except, as adok's last post shows, the editor of "the scene's leading diskmag".
so, adok - going to condemn it or not?

magic, btw, i feel genuinely sorry for you right now when you're trying to do "the right thing" and getting buttfucked from above :)

Oh and Adok, as the ediotor of the scene's leading diskmag you never heard of answering an article with another article? ;)

it was insane to still give someone like ep, after all that happend over the years, a platform !over and over again! in your lame little egoproject- but that statement clearly proofes how dumb you really are.

omg adok, you are so full of shit.

The comment about the music in the last PAiN mag from Adok in the latest hugi made me cry.

Please, remove him from the hugi staff.
Adok, the "cause" of EP's behaviour is EP and EP alone. I'm baffled that you would claim any logical cause for such.

As for myself, I do not understand why, when he appeared 5 years ago and proved to be a lunatic back then, people actually listened and encouraged him by reacting or commenting his words.

We certainly did ignore him back then.. this forum and certain other people gave him an echo chamber. I still contend he is an insignificant person whose emails, communications and actions are best met with utter indifference.

knos: yes i do regret not ignoring him back then. especially since my response article was rather wasted for nothing. i compared his "less black, more life!" idea with the aesthetics of socialist realism, and all i got back was a mad ep thinking that i've compared him with stalin.

I guess if a member of your group goes berserk and does something really bad, no bad fame will follow the group, especially if it's respected. But if this group is called hugi royal family then everyone will find the opportunity to dish it.

I sense a greater hate towards hugi. Sometimes it does make a sense but sometimes it feels too biased. Bashing hugi sometimes feels like an impulsive reaction by specific sceners, no matter if there is an improvement or not.

I do understand however that there as a reason for this bashing. I do understand that it all begun when some strong ego's surfaced from inside the hugi royal family. I do understand that some kinds of attitude from specific hugi members are not expected to be liked from most of the sceners, however I usually dislike specific attitudes from some respected sceners too however I lately avoid to express my feelings about them or bother at all. But nobody dares bashing the biggest names in the scene. Except if hugi is about to be blamed :P

I know now how some people would feel when I monopolized the discussions at Pouet or about what I did in the past while still having the support of half of the scene. Some people sympathized with me and some hated me. But now it's getting into a talk about my life so I will stop here.

Also, a strange tendency in me is to play devil's advocate. I really like to react with something that is opposite to what most people would do. Like being the only supporter of a person that everybody blames. Though only if there is a good motive to support, if I see there is a slight possibility this person has a percentage of right in his case. Sometimes the most "evil" that person is considered to be, while there are strong indications of false blame and another side nobody sees, the more of a challenge is to me to become his supporter. I am not sure if EP fits totally in this case (he has done a lot of crap even though I shared his bitterness about the scene during that time (But not against black backgrounds or copythefts or anything, I don't give a shit in which way anyone is creative these days :P)) but I kept email contact with him for a long time just because of the sympathy for the devil.

I am sad about the outcome and I would just wish for him to stay away from the scene (if it really hurts him) and just ..... ...(I am not used to enjoy putting these words in my mouth) .. .get a life :P

Have a read of Dipswitch's article in Pain #56 again. See what he quoted? Without even knowing him, and going back and reading Hugi #29 myself, EP comes across as a strange character with a limited understanding of the scene, to say the least. Why would you continue association with such a writer? Standards mustn't be too high at Hugi.
Its always interesting to publish counterpoints and contentious new ideas, but they should at least be well balanced ideas, with thorough research done beforehand so you (i.e. Hugi, as a whole) don't come off looking like an arsehat -- which is what is happening here right now.
Magic seems to be the only one speaking anything remotely close to sense here!

is this the "Last person to ever post in this thread wins!" thread ?
added on the 2008-04-05 14:54:15 by jb jb
If this reaches enough posts before the deadline of the next Zine, wouldn't it indeed be a source for a good article, Axel? ;)

For the thread:
EP: Fuck off, idiot.
Adok, Magic: Ditch that retard. It'll save your mag.

True. That was my first and last message for this thread, at least.

I would call that a Pyrrhic victory though.

Actually, it's the "pouet people ranting about irrelevant nonsense #159 [weekend edition]" thread. To the untrained eye, they look indistinguishable though.
