3rd-person-ify songs

category: general [glöplog]

I'd like to share a hobby of mine:

I take normal songs and 3rd-person-ify the lyrics to fit the meaning and rhythm.
I'll start with this innocent song (scene related): Starkillers - Big bass

Original lyrics:
I like big bass and i cannot lie
Freaky freaks gettin' down and high
When i go into this phase
Wanna feel the speakers shake that bass

3rd person:
She likes big bass and she cannot lie
Freaky freaks gettin' down and high
When she goes into this phase
She encourages you to shake that bass!

A much better game is to take song names and lyrics, and exchange the word "love" for the word "muff".

Like these:

"Now that we've found muff what are we gonna do.. with it?"
"I'd do anything for muff, but i won't do that!"
"Whats muff got to do, got to do with it?"
"I need your muffin!"
"Might as well face it you're addicted to muff!"

etc.

Je kan me vinden in de Maccy's of de Wolvenschuur,
Saus op me shirt, biér op me haute-couture,
Harder pappi, meer Channel dan Coco.
Vjeze Fur, meer stijl dan een homo.

okkie : de maccie of de whopperschuur !
LiraNuna: amazing! I also do that but in extreme way. I mostly use couple of words "cow","dog","cow while sleeping", "dreaming cow" etc to mix with music of popular songs. My favorite one is exchanging Robbie Williams "Feel":

"I just wanna feel real love,
Feel the home that I live in."

"I just wanna feel like a cow
in the moment of milking. "

Yeah this seems crazy enough but translated to Polish it fits extremely well to the music.

I usually replace everything with "hum" and most songs go like this:

Quote:
hum hum huuuuuum
hum huuum huuuuum hum

bonzaj: this goes as deep as misheard lyrics can get, like ppl singing fake words at gigs (sic!):

Tonight tonight, it's all in motion,
Can't feel the gravity.
Tonight tonight, what is this potion
That makes a fool of Her?
Tonight tonight, She's seeing stars -
She's blind with love.
Tonight tonight, they're Venus and Mars
Winking from above.

Tonight tonight, She feels like moving;
Like flying endlessly.
Tonight tonight, the city's grooving -
They're dancing all for Her.
Tonight tonight, the perfect night,
The only one.
Tonight tonight, She's holding Him tight;
Tomorrow He will be gone...

I reckon that for this idea to reach true greatness, someone really needs to record a cover version alternating between the first-person and third-person forms, in the style of a Gilbert and Sullivan musical. (Or if you prefer, the Monty Python lumberjack song.) I shall demonstate.

Quote:
Act I Scene 3. A London STREET SCENE. Enter our Protagonist, Mr ROTTEN.

Mr Rotten:
I am an antichrist
I am an anarchist
Don't know what I want but
I know how to get it
I wanna destroy the passer by cos I
I wanna be anarchy

Our Protagonist is joined by a CHOIR of POLICEMEN.
Policemen:
He is an Antichrist!
He is an Anarchist!
He doesn't know what he wants but
He knows how to get it!
He wishes to destroy the passer by, for he
He wants to be Anarchy!

Mr ROTTEN swiftly headbutts the POLICEMEN to the GROUND. Curtain falls.

"Gimme all your muffin, all your chocolate biscuits too!"
"Where is the muff?"
"What time is muff?"
"Muff, muff me do! You know I muff you!"
