tUM*o3 - the Ultimate Meeting 2oo3

category: general [glöplog]
This years' parties are more about scandals than releases. The scene is dead.

well, basically this is about demopartys. if you want to travel hundreds of kilometers just to get drunk it's your decision, but believe me, you can have it cheaper. we can indeed save the pricemoney to pay for any damages and even some security guys, i really don't care. but hey, let's stop those noisy demo compos and make a boozing compo. very easy to organize for us, too. and who needs computers on a party anyway?

:) i still don't think we need stricter rules or security. i have faith in all those visitors. just behave. that's all we ask for.

Hehehe... that press room is fucking hilarious. At leat outside of demopartys this guy shows some skill: humor.

Anyway, I fully understand and support Fzool's concerns and I think it was ok to mail Bronix a warning message. This is much better than banning someone without communicating first. I think a few people here, first of all the boozing-posse, really should calm down a bit.

It's a fact that Bronix is a danger for valuable things at a party, just like most people who overbooze would be.

He tried to piss on expensive equipment, he confirmed that himself.

He climped on top of the roof of the party tent (that wasn't made for this). Organizers had to spend time to climb up and remove him. I was present.

After the party, when silentriot was accused of throwing a chair into the camp fire (watched by an organizer) later bronix himself claimed it was him doing that.

The guys here saying it's not that hard to control him sure are right. It's quite easy, and no, he isn't really violent or anything.

The point is: At a party organizers always are busy trying to make it a good party. Organizers are overworked and under pressure most of the time. These guys have better things to do.

Looking at Breakpoint04, I for one do not feel like I'm willing to spend hours of time during the party playing kindergarden teacher.

Other big partys like Mekka tried to solve these problems with a paid around-the-clock security that fixes such problems the violent way. Sorry, but that's not my way.

The conclusion for me is: The few guys here complaining about taking away the freedom to booze etc are the ones that have to act.

If you really wish to continue seeing bronix at partys, then fucking CARE about him. He has quite a few friends in the scene, it should be possible that there ALWAYS is at least one of you making sure he doesn't kill himself/destroy things etc.

If you are not willing to take over this job, then you are not really his friends, and whats more, all this fuzz in this thread is just useless noise.

At Breakpoint, I gave the job to make sure the fire place is a safe one to Nosfe. I fully trusted him and didn't regret it. We probably need someone that trustworthy for watching Bronix ;)

One thing for sure: If I see any sign of Bronix causing problems for the organizers during TUM, you can be damn sure he won't enter the Breakpoint partyplace.

Tomcat requested for more lines:

I drink a lot of beer here in Germany. Life is strange. Even if my life has improved, even if I am less worried anymore, I am going really down sometimes (could be the climate?). One day, I had the appropriate mood to get drunken a lot of hell (but I don't know your climax. Could be nothing compare to other people..). I drunk 6 beers as fast as I could at a Straba party and throwed up the same number of times. There were moments where some people set a challenge for me too. Like to follow a green light because at the end there is a blond girl who wants to have sex with me! Probably in a second reality as my brother puts it..

It might have started also from a French girl that was swinging around my mind some days ago. And the compliment that I wrote about her in a public forum(!). But she was just the cherry in the cake as we say in Greece. I had more reasons to get drunken than that and I was in Germany man! I was never drunken so much in my life and that must be nothing in comparison to what other people have done as I hear. I guess I am just a nerd ;]

And yes, I got more drunken than what happened to one Norwegish Erasmus student at the previous Straba party! Could I be a challenge for Bronix in the future? ;)

I have to share stories at TUM. Also, some of these bad or weird days are inspirations for articles I already write for Bad Sector's diskmag. So, if you want to read more, get Obscurum! (That wasn't an advertisement, was it? :)

Tschus :)

what about shooting heroin and asking people for spare change?

anyway.. i think bronix should have the decency to behave properly, you're a fucking guest at this party.

i am currently trying to set up a attack-team of ISO-troops to do some total boozing at tum, it seems that the norwegians have gained a reputation that they booze more than us finns do. this must end now.

i do my best to be more drunk & insane at tum than bronix.

long live the spirit of party boozing!

i think it is time for some simultaneous puking at tUM. the maximum i've participated in uptil now was 6 people puking at once, but with norwegians, finns, poles and optimus coming, i'm sure we can break some records. who's in?

i did my puking duty at last TUM already (though i was lucky enough to reach the closet room), so no puking contest for me this year (hopefully)... =)

if i remember right there was quite a lot of people puking during the last night of breakpoint, I just can't remember how many and actually i'm not even sure if i did participate or not.

tomcat, ofcourse i do know that my fellow madwizards members from poland are also coming.

for the best possible puking experience i suggest that people would drink only liquids that are colored in a certain way, so that one could puke blue stuff while other one is puking red or white.
that would look really beautiful.

gimme enough drugs and i'll puke

nosfe: maybe you should start a graphics compo then to see who can design the most beautiful puking color scheme. :)
