C64 power supply on C128

category: general [glöplog]

I have a C128 that I never used. I wanted to see some demos like Risen from Oblivion (are there others?) but I can't use the C128 because there is no power supply. The C64 had a circular plug while the C128 so I can't put the C64 power supply to the C128. I guess that's because of protection, to not blow it up?

I don't know what to do with the C128. I just read another thread that asked the opposite and so I remembered that.

Amiga PSU fits into the C128, but DON'T DO THIS! It is not compatible and could or will DAMAGE your C128 (and/or the PSU). Check if you can buy a separate Power Supply for the C128 anywhere, or another C128 with Power Supply... But if you are a "normal" user, a C64 is enough for you (i don't know), and you can sell the C128. I own a C128 and tried a little bit the fantastic basic and some of its features, but normally, I only use the C64...
