Pure Brilliance, but well eerie!
great art, but flash is totally letting it down. This shit should run smoothly fullscreen, and without all the artifacts i see. Is there an exe version somewhere? Or are the assets available somewhere so i can make my own when i get some free time?

psonice, full ack.
That is so f***ing awesome and thousand times better and more beautiful than Zoomquilt 1+2 were.

haha yeah i think that's other way around
Holy fuck. Just minutes after reading this thread, I've completely incidentally discovered a website where some mathematicians have transformed M C Escher's Print Gallery into a zoomer:
http://escherdroste.math.leidenuniv.nl/

Somebody make a demo about it. Please.

The best "infinite zoom" I ever saw... wow!

in particular the addition of soundscapes and of "extra" independent objects to improve the feeling.

Thanks so much for the link!

psonice: yep...

what hasn't been done before!
a multidirectional zoomer, something like an exploration game?
Thanks to Raist, I came across a short clip, which shows a zoomer made with a camera. The clip starts at 2:24min (it's part of Czech TV show as far as I think):
