Back on topic: I enjoyed Evoke alot in 2oo7 when i went, the weather was also awesome, as were the people at the party (excluding maali :P), hope to come back one day soon, probably not this year though :)

than Evoke would be a good place to release such a demo :)

I hope to be able to get there (one way or the other). I just suffered a look at ye ole NS.nl and found out if I decide to go by train I will arrive in Köln-Messe/Deutz a good 6 (six!) hours before 'doors open'. I can only survive playing camera-toting tourist for so long(*), so I hope other means of getting there can be arranged.


(*) - most likely I will degenerate into a useless puddle of dribbling insanity after about 2 hours ;)

@rowley birkin: huzzah! that route makes a lot more sense in the getting up early/waiting around for 6 hours -department. According to your cunning plan I will arrive at koeln hbf at 15:12 so there's a good chance of me running into the venue -during- (or after, depending on bus blight) the opening of the doors ceremony! ;)

Like every year, Buenzli and Evoke offer you twice the fun for not quite twice the price. If you plan to go to Evoke and Buenzli, you should think about buying the infamous "Combined Ticket". For only 55 Euros (instead of 65 Euros) you will be able to enjoy the compos of Evoke and Buenzli back to back.

So, if you are man enough to try this, mention that you would like to buy a combined ticket at the Evoke Infodesk and have your cash ready. Two weeks later, at the Buenzli Infodesk, show your Evoke bracelet and the ticket. And that’s it!

If you were not yet planning to go to Evoke AND Buenzli, isn’t this reason enough to think it over?!

This year, we are having a very special musical guest: Debug a.k.a. cTrix will come all the way from Australia to play a liveset on two Amigas! Expect a stomping MOD-powered tech-house-rave set that will make you sweat.

Also, there will be some DJs around to make your stay even more enjoyable.

For the sake of playing at Evoke, it's just "cTrix" :-) The "Debug (live)" part is my normal live performance alias in Australia which I used so non-scener Aussies knew who I was at gigs.

I'm very much looking forward to pulling out the floppy disks I've been carrying around in a backpack for 3 weeks - I hope they still work by the time I get to Evoke! (else I'll be re-writing out the disk images at the party) Big greets from Los Angeles airport.
