pouet needs a Dingoo category!

category: general [glöplog]
Perhaps a generic category "Handheld" would address both the problem of no category for Dingoo and that of too many categories for strange crap for Pouet?

What about a generic "computer" category ?

With separate subcategories for Color and B/W ?

Dingoo has quite a good community for such an unknown machine.
The even have ported more demos in dingoo than in the wiz and also one native scene demo for the dingoo (that I still can't run :P).
However, it's just another SDL machine with software rendering.
I am thinking about writting a small demo but I am not sure what to write that could be Dingoo specific. Or I would write one that can be ported for both Dingoo and Wiz and GP2X and anything. It's an SDL demo anymoer.

But cool, dingoo category I think would be cool, because there is a good community similar to the gamepark one.

it's not a true demo platform until it has been bumraped by BITS
Oh wow, lots of answers! :O

@ optimouse: The "native scene demo" (guess you mean hello dingoonity) will dissapoint you, i slightly exagerated... but you´ll see yourself.
What problems have you with running it?
And what do you mean with pixel shifting in Creep Tea and Led Blur? Both seem fine to me.

@ BITS: Can´t wait to see something from you on the Dingoo. =D

@ gasman: i think you totally missed my point... i actually feel kind of insulted. >:-P
Not the icon/category is my goal, i want to see some frickin´ demos. And a place to find them... Preferably pouet. ;)

@ gargaj: Interesting. ;D

@ Photon: Here´s a modplayer for developers, and one for end users here. :D And a Hively Tracker player...
Then we have Oldplay for all the chiptunes you could want to hear.
Oh, we have Little Piggy Tracker too. Not to forget you can run the many game boy/GBA/NES/C64/ZX/etc.pp. trackers as well.
So if you like chiptunes, the Dingoo is for you. :)

Generally i think it´s cool that so many people like the Dingoo, it´s the underdog but competes very good. Can´t wait to see some real demos on it, i´m just learning and get into programming quite slow, so let´s hope i´m not the first to release one. :D

we should totally try to boost the demoscene presence in the whole open-hendheld comunities (and maybe try to unite it more, although GBAX had a pretty good start with it :) ..native demos would be more interesting than 12 different ZXspectrum or Vectrex emulators.

Eule: If you want more demos, I say the you should start a compo :D the same way TMDC generated a ton of textmode demos.
