Musician wanted (for 30 seconds of music)

category: music [glöplog]
The MindCandy team is trying to produce a 30-second advert for assemblytv for August. I can produce the visuals, yet our little group has no active musicians. If you'd like to provide an energetic piece of music to be used as the background for me to sync visuals to as part of a 30-second advertisement for MindCandy 3, email me at trixter@oldskool.org. Deadline for contacting me is 7/9/2010. The musician whose music gets used will get a free copy of MC3 of course.

As for what type of music, think 30-second-long energetic demo. Seriously! 2-6 seconds of opener/build-up, then the main course, then 4-8 seconds of cooldown. It's going to be used as an advert so this structure shouldn't be a surprise :) But, like any demo, it should have at least 2 or 3 "hooks" for me to sync something to.

If nobody volunteers in roughly a week, then I will forced to commit a truly heinous demoscene crime and use... STOCK LIBRARY MUSIC (eep!)

Might i suggest hacking together something like the tune from Elevated? It could be chopped to fit.

bstrr is in the lead!
Wow, this is a much better turnout than I was expecting :-D It's like a 30-second music fastcompo. Hilarious!

Well, I start working on the advert at the end of the week, so if anyone wants to keep submitting, go for it. At the end of the week I'll update the thread with the winner and tell them to email me with their mailing address.

Well, it's between m0d's last most recent attempt and bsstr's attempt. No more tries? You have until Sunday!

CELEBRITY AWAITS YOU!
I would say Gaspode's fits AsmTV perfectly.

I came here just to point out that m0d is caning the Nexus VSTi presets.

EVERYONE DOES. It's like the st-01 of the 2008+ era!

I've been guilty of a few Nexus-patches too, but that's beginning to be many years in the past. :) However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using presets.

Nothing wrong with using presets in moderation - preset patches + preset patterns = the demo song that came with the software ;)

Okay, I'm torn between bstrr's, which has the energy and sync I was hoping for, and gasp0de's, which everyone says is the most appropriate for asmtv.
