That's a pretty demoscene-ish coffee machine then!

Oh I won an award? :O

I had to leave before prizegiving because the time schedule appeared after I had booked the plane tickets and I was guessing there isn't anything on monday other than people packing up and leaving. I considered reebooking the flights but it would have cost me quite a bit and I wasn't really expecting to win anything. :)

I wonder if it's possible to get the price via mail?

@ClySuva I think it was this one =en]link - I think at this point someone official from the party should continue this. :)

Awesome!

I sent an email to revision staff. We'll see what happens. :)

Numtek: I personally prefer these:

But... no need to really sell noodles at revision. Just having a kettle or two available at the infodesk would rule a lot (:

"Dafür liefern die Dinosaurier unter den Computern, C64 oder Amiga, das Material. Genauer, der Vorspann von Computerspielen, "Demo" genannt, wurde zum Stoff, aus dem sich die Demoszene entwickelte. Demos wurden aufgebrochen (sprich "gecrackt"), aus den Daten Bildwelten kreiert, die an Fantasy- und Science-Fiction-Szenarien erinnern."
LOL
Fail @ Saarbrücker Zeitung... they'd better copied last years article, which was quite decent..

The Breakpoint Party Bear! (even without being requested) <3 <3 <3 Love you, man!
By the way, is there a bigger version of that pic available? 1920x1080 does not do justice to all the details in there.
Also it's a shame that it only ranked 4th in the compo...

v3nom: "Oops"... *goes back to cracking demos*
Does anybody know if the disqualified PC-Demos are available somewhere?
There where some interesting titles ;)
As a rule, we don't publish disqualified entries so the authors can submit them at another demoparty.

Ah ok.
Thanks D.Fox.
That's indeed a pretty big failure of the Saarbrücker Zeitung. I was SO sure I had told the story in a way that an 8-year old would have gotten it.

netpoet: I feared something like this would happen as she told me that "the sound of that 4k intro reminded her of her old ibm laptop dying"

Well - what can you do :-)

Guess we'll have to dub moleman2 exclusively for them, so that they really understand it! :D
Finally I understand what the demoscene is all about, thanks to »Saarbrücker Zeitung«. And now I will crack some pens for my next production ... :)

Exactly. Demoscene is all about cracking and ripping game intros to use it's 3rd party content somehow! :D At least that's what the article sounds to me -.-

Some voting statistics for those who're intrerested how their entries ranked over time.
