I was thinking of changing my nick Factor6 to something less stupid. I've chosen this nick in the Amiga heydays when I just played games and loved games by Factor 5. Problem is everyone knows me as 'factor' and any change would lead to misunderstandings in both virtual and real world and loose of identity in the demoscene. What's your opinion on this?

My opinion is Factor6 is just fine, and being called Factor sounds rather cool to me. So I'd keep it if I was you. :)

Also, Factor 5 games were totally awesome, for sure! ^^

having a bit of experience with online schizophrenia i cann say that while its easy to add another nickname to your virtual identity its rather hard to get rid of the old ones =).

Factor6 is cool and not many out there.

I should be thinking I should change my nick because too many Optimii out there, but I am cool with it.

All demoscene nicknames are kinda stupid so better don't care about it.

Besides, I remember when Dragon/Future Brain tried to change his handle and be called "Compiler". Everybody call him Dragon anyway.

I think Factor6 is cool enough. If you disagree try to exchange nicks with stage7! :D

Your nick is good fella, keep it. Unless of course you want to release some joke productions, then make up a new nick to disguise who you are!

And yeah, keep Factor6, it's a good name and ham is right, all names are p dumb anyway, it's part of the demoscene charm.

Thanks for commends. I know for exmaple that DJ Gruby is still known as Cobra.. so, maybe yes, the change of nick would lead to madness :)

Change it to »factor« and everything is fine. Besides I think »factor6« is a fine name.

I was so sneaky as to just use my first name as nickname (nicolai - nico). It did lead to some hijinks though - Destop telling me that it was "a great handle - too bad it is already taken", as my personal favourite :)

We should just call ourselves scener1, scener2, scene3 and so on.

i actually won't care but there is nothing "stupid" about Factor6. i thought about renaming just to "sen" to get a 3ln but well :D
