You don't have to crosspost between IRC and pouet, crossposting between IRC channels is already annoying enough.
just wanted to help oh well its bedtime for me now :p
Maybe if your "helping" results in people being annoyed, you're not actually helping anyone.

Just so you know.

Just wanted to add a quick note to things before crawling back to bed again... Driving 3600km for a party is not really the best way of travelling (even though the nice surroundings makes it worth it, while travelling through Germany) but that's what you can do when flights are too costly at times.

I had a SPLENDID time at the party and loved just about everything about it, apart from actually missing to meet some people that I now realize were there, even though I didn't bump into them. There'll be time to meet at other parties, I'm sure. I also must say that I feel so honored to get to work with the people in the beam team. They SO know their sh*t so it's amazing. That aside from being a lovely bunch of people as well. I'll gladly work with you guys anytime, anywhere so just keep on being as awesome as you are. :)

Also, a big thank you to all the people helping out to do the broadcasts this year, like truck, Franky, m0d, cgi, h0ffman, Parsec, lug00ber (yes, NOT LB, m0d... ;)) and Romeo Knight (I hope I didn't forget too many now). It feels good to have other voices than mine over the feeds, so thanx for that, and also for letting me experience more of the actual party. :) I was even watching some of the compos this year, which was awesome.

There were sadly some issues caused by several reasons and I'm sorry for that to anyone that felt like it hurt their weekend. We really tried to give you sofasceners the best possible experience of the party even if you weren't there, but at some points, we couldn't really manage to go all the way. One of the big problems this year was the main encoder that was a bit too shaky when it comes to tiny network dropouts, which caused it to fail a bit too often. Also, you guys should know that at one point, you overflooded one of the servers with more than 2½gbps of streaming simultaneously which is why we had to restructure the 720p stream. We're already working on things to make this less of an issue next year (and for other parties as well) but we can only do so much. :) Your kind donations will surely help us with this, since it's a costly business to do these kind of things in a non-profit scene, so thank you for your help so far. :) It's HIGHLY appreciated! We're also looking into creating a local server for both video and audio so that you people at the party also can hear what we ramble on about, without messing up the bandwidth by streaming from the outside.

I also know that the recordings of some of the shows (and DJ sets) are a bit b0rked on reLive and in our SceneSat archive, but I'll dig into this later on today, when I've had some more sleep. I actually do believe I have some of the 2nd stage DJ sets recorded too, so I'll see what I can do about that.

To sum this up - thank you ALL for a great weekend and I'm already looking forward to the next edition of Revision. Until then - seeya at another party! :D

mhh, does that mean there's no proper/clean recording of the DJ sets (glxblt+knoeki & hofmann) available? THAT would make sad dano even moar sad.. :(

because having those sets in my iphone for car & work amusement is pretty awesome! :)

didn't atleast some orga capture the audio from the mixer desk?

hey! what a fucking nice party!
now that i have attended my first Revision as a non-organizer i gotta say its really all looking/feeling flawless, everything is fine and as nice as possible! would be nice to be back as an organizer next year tho, i said so at the party itself already several times: i really really missed sth, just being there wasnt enuff to me anymore i guess ;) you know my contact-data, just let me know if you want me back for next years revision of revision ;)

pros:
-SceneSat-coverage again! (been still at home at Friday, so this helped a lot to get into the right mood! thanx a lot for providing the fun for free so we sofasceners still can have a large bit of the party even if not attending! ♥
-jingles, even still produced while party was already way in...evilRobot was very lovable, most likely jco´s idea i guess!
-what everyone else said. (this post is already too big to be read by anyone anyway! ;) )

cons:
-no idea, except stuff organizers cant for, like weather, me catching a cold due to it and stuff, haha. (own fault, being at the campfire 20/3 and only sleeping 4/3 isnt the exact way to avoid catching a cold)

PS:
dont take some rants for too real...if f.e. cp rants about wargames-commercials, made by The Silents, i have to have a laugh myself, i hate war and everything connected to it myself, but this is just about "killing" pixels/polygons, so to me its like someone is ranting about sth he has no idea about, see politicians.
The recordings of the DJ Sets usually appear on a "LINK" "Somewhere" on the "Internetz" on an "unassociated".....

They usually appear on IRC IIRC

I honestly don't care *that* much if glxblt and mine set was recorded or not.

Personally my sets are kind of a thing of the moment. I understand that a lot of people love my sets but they're probably not that good when you're sober ;_D

I'm finally awake enough to post a proper thank you, so a massive thanks to each and every organiser - I know that some of you were so busy you were hardly ever to be seen, so thanks again for the massive time commitment to make the event awesome. And for providing all the extras that make the party just that bit more fun like the pinball machines etc...

Also, a massive shout to the Popcorn guys! Last year it seemed a bit weird to wander over and ask for some popcorn, so I settled for just a sticker which has proudly sat on my suitcase ever since. This time I went up and spoke to them and they are great guys that just make the party a bit more fun! I saw quite a few other people giving away stuff to people they didn't know, and it just makes the party feel that bit more special.

From my perspective, the only thing that would make things a bit better is if seminars were briefly announced on the tannoy because I frequently missed them this year when I was wandering around chatting to people and lost track of time and also if you could for the music tracks as the competition is running - there were a lot of good tracks, but by the end of the competition I couldn't remember which were which from their names and so there was no way I could really vote fairly, so I decided it was best not to vote at all.

There is no full version of the track, since well I didn't get the time to do that before the party, I might consider doing that at some point though.
@Puryx: Please do so! <3 Thanks for the jingle-versions, will grab those when back at my place.
Quote:
If someone really wants to have the Videos i can upload them to scene.org, still have all original files on my drive aswell as those created at the partyplace, i should make them a Bit smaller than fullhd, though
@acryd: I would like to have the ascii/ansi one :-D
