Okkie Hasselhoff: hahaha, i didn't mean you ; )

i think there were some non sceners at friday night, they were making terrible noises and mess (shouting 'schnaps' all night, stealing peoples pillows, throwing toilet papers at partyplace,..) i was wondered why didn't orgas kick them..

oh and also to mention, some organizers were boozing in that bar nearby too, but as it seemed having been Their party, i guess it was ok.

when i asked them if i could watch the democompo from outdoor with their strict control, they were absolutely against that idea, which would have actually been fair deal imo. i also remember some of us trying to give their wallets as pawn if something happened, they couldn't accept that too. so probably only one or two sceners saw the democompo. i wonder why didn't they disqualify half of the entries then, but only kewlers and kooma demos.

nula: Someone gave me a hint (at saturday?), I went to this group (sceners and "oldschoolers"), talked friendly to one of them to stop that shit (what happend, IIRC).

Throwing them out? I remember EvilJoker told me he wasn't involved in this action and only sat in this group. Throwing all of them out would have the same effect like at lamerfest.

In general it is always good, if organizers aren't too strict since it is a party and people want to have fun (which extends sometimes the borders too much). We all know stories like the Nazi-security at _some_ TP or MS,
which mostly results in "that party sucked". People don't want to travel hundreds of kilometres and spend hundreds of Euros (or some strange currency) to find that out. Than again, I remember there was a MS with "no alcohol inside the hall" and Metalvotze build up their famous beercantower and the mass liked it. :)

Conclusion: A selective brain which maps sad memories out and keeps only good moments is sometimes very cool. ;)
At mekka/symposium 2002 i was busted by the security ppl when going _out_ with an unopened bottle of vodka in my bag (this was during the 'laptop stolen' incident when they were checking everyones bags who were going out of the partyplace). I got a very stern "don't come back inside with that" warning. I wondered if they would've liked it if i had dranken it all in 30 minutes and came back inside drunk as fuck;-)

Iirc the day before we (mfx, thanks to farbrausch) had 20+ crates of beer inside on stage ;-)

hmm, weird, i dont remember that trouble at evoke at all. i only know that some bastards harassed the swiss campers outside, but they (the bastards) were absolutely certainly not sceners, rather some local "prolls".

madenmann, nice scamp article you linked to. i was also harassed by that dumb security for no reason several times. but fun thing is, "brave screenfun" was at breakpoint too and noone seemed to really have an objection... =)

btw nula, i still wonder why i havent met you czech people at evoke. i know you registered, and after the party i was regretting you havent shown up. and then ai learned to know that you were.. :P hope to see ya next year.

Uncle X: For that action I still thank MFX, because that are the things you won't forget from your party history, at least it's with me that way. :)
about that mess.. never mind.. i think those who were driving me mad on friday night weren't sceners at all.. i think people may be kicked after few warnings.. evoke was very nice party anyway : )

dipswitch yeah, that's real shame we missed each other.. we didn't know anybody by his face.. (except cerror and kb) so it was really difficult to find someone.. jumping around and shouting "hey, we are marshals" would be little bit stupid imo : )

there are some our photos from evoke to prove we (bomber, me(the guy on right) and woid) were there.. =)

Heh, yeah, that's what you get for attending a party called "Lamerfest". :)

I remember (most of) MS'01.. boy, that "no alcohol" rule was purely idealistic, wasn't it? :) I myself brought in an open crate of beer, right past security, no problem. I took pictures of the mounds of bottles/cans underneath the seats in front.

Here would be my generic rules for party boozing:

1. x = drinking age in your country (21 in America, so if you're 18, you can drive, vote, and be in porn films, but oh god don't touch a beer :P )
2. assign each partygoer aged >=x one tag, and each partygoer < x another.
3. If "<x" scener is caught drinking at party place, confiscate drink, give warning
4. If <x scener is caught again (or if you can't remember who drank what), remove tag and escort out of party
5. ">=x" sceners may drink in partyplace.
6. If >=x scener is harassing other sceners or trying to cause damage, confiscate drink and escort outside (still with tag) or to sleeping hall.
7. If >=x scener is fighting with other sceners or actually causing damage, remove tag and escort out of party. Contact police if necessary.

Of course, I've never known any demoparty to check ID for age, so that would be something new. And, if you're in a place like a school with a no-alcohol policy anyway, then.. never mind. :)

I believe some (which aren't?) european countries don't have limits for drinking alcohol.

and i mean age limits .. of course =)

Oh. The campfire astu mentioned was lamest campfire ever. We had some paper and wet wood in a clay flowerbucket. Well, it prevented the normal visit of cops, but i bet cops would have laughed their asses off, if they would have seen our "campfire"...

dipswitch: yeah, bomber had some problems with buying his Evoke T-Shirt ; ))

gargaj: man, that's a bit difficult because we sent our photos to slengpung twice and got no answer.. we're soooo isolated, bhuaaah ; / =)

hahha.. that's the best campfire ever!!! :D

Curious (to the person who mentioned above), what countries in Europe do not have any age-restrictions whatsoever on alcohol?

i think it's here 16 for beer / wine and stuff and 18 for hard liquor..

can't imagine a country without a limit, except for the balkan :D

yepp, same in germany. 16 for beer/wine/cigs, 18 for harder stuff (even certain praliné candy filled with liquor).

in Finland the limits go as follows:

Normal grocery stores can only sell bewerages with max 5% alcohol.

There is only one chain of shops (government owned, thanks to health enthusiasts from the 30's) that can sell anything above 5%.

You have to be 18 years old to be able to buy (from the booze shop or grocery stores) any stuff with less alcohol than 21%.

You have to be atleast 20 to buy stuff (from the booze shop) with more than 21%.

Alcohol can only be sold between 07:00-21:00, except in bars and clubs, which can sell alcohol from 09:00-02:00 (some places have exceptions where they can sell alcohol up until 03:30)

Bars and clubs can sell what they wish (as long as the alcohol content doesn't exceed 60%, i think) and you have to be atleast 18 to enter (most places have age limits of 20-24y).

All this caused fme to laugh my ass off when visiting The Party and noticing a sign at the local grocery store saying "Note! We do not sell strong alcohols (over 40%) to people under 15 years of age."
