I rather should have turned this sentence this way:
"I saw this book, which looked quite nice to me, and which showed some nice work put into it. I took it, thinking it was free, because amongst other flyers - on a flyer table. I got it out of my backpack, throwed it away on this pile of documents for a "let's check this later" - pile of documents which followed me in all my places, but never got put in order. until two days ago. Now that i read it, I'm sure this book got a value."

while i can somehow understand the urge to free your mind of this "theft" im quite sure whoever that book belonged to (probably the guy who sold them in numbers) has forgiven you a long time ago or just doesnt care anymore.
in other words:
