Do I need to shout about panzers? I can do that. You know I love doing that.
Don't forget to bring megaphones.

Is the logo supposed to look like breaking bad's logo?

dont you know? temis is cooking meth in his RV right now. how else do you think nvidia could afford such parties??? ;)

I think Nvidia started the whole green thing earlier than Breaking Bad though.

As long I don't know who is behind the thing, I'm not going to answer that survey.

We're interested in knowing a bit more about you and what your plans are for NVScene 2014

So am I about the people who are going to evaluate the survey and knowing a bit more NVScene could also help. You are asking for way too much information without giving the people who answer the survey any information.

It's good to see interest in the scene from that side, but well, you have to give us more information.

las: sorry to hear that. So far 71 people decided they had enough info to answer if they wanted to attend or wished to speak or thought about making a prod for the party.

Las : for your information the survey is carried out jointly by scene org and the NSA .
For full transparency data will also be sent to The FBI, KGB and Mossad. Note that you credit card info are also requested. Scene.org initially thought about sending the consolideted data to mars just in case there is some interested by your plan for 2014 there.

BUT IF YOU INVEST YOU CANNOT LOSE!

Well that "bit more" is really a tiny bit. They just ask your name, if you're attending the party, and if you'll code a demo for one of their toys. Which for most people goes like "X no yes".

also if you dont plan to attend the survey is over really quickly =)

I understand las' concern, not knowing who will be running the thing.

NVidia and Scene.org are organizations, not individuals. And I said that having filled out the survey (which I think was kinda flawed in its lack of options or room for comment).

My assumption is that Gloom and Temis are running the party, like last time, and that they will bring in Gargaj and Ferris if they haven't already. So there is your answer.
metoikos: no offence, but if you don't know, please refrain from making assumptions.

Everyone else: as it says on the site: Scene.org and NVIDIA are the organizers. Does it matter which individuals are doing it? No. As of now, clearly, we're exploring different options and gathering data.

gloom: wow, dude, you are not making this seem any better than my worst fears. It _does_ matter which people are behind an event.. if any. People are a lot more trustworthy than business entities.

GbND: what I meant was that the organization isn't entirely fixed yet, but that people should perhaps assume the best instead of the words, given the track record of past events (and the people already involved, including myself).

On second thought, no. I refute that statement. People go to Solskogen and Edison and Revision and Assembly and Evoke etc. etc. every year without giving much thought to who is actually running around and doing the work. The parties are the parties, and the same applies to NVScene. Just because something is supported by a company suddenly makes it untrustworthy? Rubbish. Parties are helped and sponsored and organized by companies all the time. Also, Scene.org is a non-profit organization, and not a "business entity", so all of your logic is flawed in both directions there, sonny.

All that aside: people.. relax. :) We're in the early stages. The party is arranged by people who's parties you've attended and loved in the past, and there is no corporate overlord scheme to rip your souls or thoughts or art. Just like NVScene 2008 turned out to be a demoparty in the US, so will the 2014 edition. We don't have all the pieces in place yet, which is why we're starting out slow with the info, but rest assured: it will come.

That said: AFAIK there's been only a single line of somewhat interpreted scepticism so far. I don't intend to spend a lot of energy pushing that back when there's an overwhelming positive vibe going on. Seriously, take a look outside of the Pouet walled garden, and people are loving this. Hard. I for one can't wait until March next year ;)
