Flight booking - done.
Next up: take care of a place to sleep... Did anyone checked for cheaper alternatives for the GTC discounted hotel ($190 a night)?

Turns out I'm also looking for some room sharing from monday to friday... Anyone got some free space? I made a decent looking double room reservation on Ramada for wed-fri (through gtc when it was possible, but could still only get those 2 days), at $95/night, so I got some space to share there (or I can just cancel it someone else got some), but still at least need to find something for mon-wed.

TLM: I am looking for more folks to share the room.

Email me at questions at atparty-demoscene dot net
metoikos: so you got plenty of space from wednesday or?

We get the room Wednesday and check out on Monday.
I have one person confirmed sharing from Wednesday to Sunday.
I have another joining Wednesday through Saturday.
I have one tentative more joining for an uncertain period between Wednesday and Saturday.

With cots or floor-sleeping, and a base rate of $169 provided the hotel doesn't jump the price if we ask for a cot and we make sure they think only two or three people are sleeping there, we can drive the price down.

I'm capping the room at six. That's two in each of the beds, one in a cot (I have dibs on the cot) and one on the floor or in the bathtub.
for *drive read *keep.
yay. now i need to look fucking sleepy for two workdays cos android and pc demo are on different "mornings" :)

"in the bathtub" - lol

Any medieval traveler or attendee at sf conventions knows that a a two-bedded hotel room can fit five people comfortably and six uncomfortably.

In each bed one under the sheets, one over the sheets but under the duvet, one in a cot or on the floor on the far side of the second bed, and the sixth one who draws the shortest straw in the bathtub ( :

It's still better than freezing your posterior off sleeping on the floor of the hall.
metoikos - oh dear, I hesitate to ask about your plans to travel to the US... but... does it in any way resemble "Life of Pi"? :-O

:: all the work while crying ::
Just one more week now. :) If anyone has questions feel free to hit us up at http://nv.scene.org/2014/contact - I'd also like to again mention the official after-party held the day after NVScene ends, in San Francisco:

And the signup link for the Codame event is: http://www.codame.com/post/celebrate-demoscene-arttech-with-codame/
For those not taking a limozeen to the after-party, I would be open to a multi-person trip via Caltrain Diridon station or splitting a cab service. I am returning to San Jose after the after-party.
Another invitation, released by FLT... for PC (aka YouTube ;) )
