The real trick would be if you got a picture of an elusive (and rare) Pouet token (key fob) out in the wild. ;)
Thanks, more is coming soon at the same album...

Damn, I just found the hidden message from the popcornmachine. The popcorn is evil. They obey porn! ~8]

Party video-version of TBL - Rift

Thanks to everyone for a great party! Some small issues I'd like to point out:

* Live voting: yes I know, it's beta :) Had some issues with that, with new entries often appearing quite a while after the next entry has started or the one after that has already started. Also, it often ended too early after the last entry, before I could even vote for it. (I was on WiFi with my phone when using live voting, might be due to that.) I hope that this last issue did not make the last entries lose votes if people were too lazy to fix missing votes later on.
Idea: Show e.h. the next 3 entries in advance to vote for (as empty slots of course, no matter whether there are actually that many entries, to not spoil the surprise of what's going to be shown).
* Live coding compo: My coding speed was impaired by the keyboard because I'm not used to US keyboards. I asked in advance what kind of keyboard layout is going to be used and was told that there'll be US keyboards and it would be not possible to just bring my own keyboard. Though at least the right PC was obviously running windows, even with dual keyboard layouts (both german and US, to be switched with Shift+Alt by default). Also switching the US keyboard to german layout wouldn't have worked because these keyboards lack the ><| key, which would make it impossible to type these characters.

But these were just small issues, compare that to the many potential problems you did not hear of because they just did not happen thanks to the organizers! Cheers!

Thanks to everyone who came by and bought a key fob. Sorry I wasn't more visible, I had to trade off sitting with friends vs being in a more visible location. The beam slide was also written ahead of time but I should have updated it with the table location.

The Revision ones will continue to make Revision appearances until they're all gone. The rest I hope to offer up online some time in May with a proper store arrangement not tied to Nectarine.

Until then or if you want something slightly different, I have a one-sided model of the Nectarine key fob on Shapeways made of nylon plastic which comes in a white, black, and (currently) four other colors. They are made and ship direct from Shapeways.

------------------------------

Organizers who got a key fob, the "paper" on the faces of the fobs does come off if you want to. The key fobs are clear all the way through. The paper is just a part of the manufacturing process of the material and was left on to protect them during travel. That, and I didn't want to have to sit and take off that for all of them given the large number. :P (Can you blame me?)

------------------------------

Other things ... I like the idea of the magnets people were giving out. Not that I won't some day want to sticker my laptop up, but for the moment anyway it seems to provide something I can put up in different places or move them around (such as my space at work), which is nice.

I also liked the wrist-bands this year. They seemed hardier to getting wet (washing hands, showering) than the other kind and of course that they could have a design on them.

Lastly the food was similar to last year* and also good, though I think I liked the sausages, steak, etc. trailer better than the "meat shack" the year before.

* In fact, the crepes/waffles place might even have been the same people?

------------------------------

Only one complaint, the table I was at (third from the front on the right, facing the screen) had deficiencies in the power and LAN setup. The second industrial power outlet thing that was supposed to service the half of the side closest to the inner aisle was under the table and we had trouble locating it. When we did, we couldn't make it come far enough across to reach our half of the side.

The LAN switch had the same problem as it was placed much past half way, and those in my group who had brought cables that were about as long as was recommended on the site* were unable to plug in with them. I don't know if the switch could have been moved closer to the middle, as by the time I had thought to try people had started to settle and it would have been a hassle.

* http://2014.revision-party.net/traveling/packing See "If you bring your computer [...]"

I know you had much else to setup too, so it's not trip-ruining or anything, but I thought I should note it since it seems non-zero we were the only table with this problem.

Anyway, I enjoyed it all and though I haven't left Germany yet (I fly out tomorrow morning), I am already feigningly sad because it'll be another year until I'm back here again.

Maybe next year I'll have worked ahead and actually have a decent production to submit.

Hilarious, brilliant and just plain wrong for marketing purposes (who looks at socks, like really?), I like that.

Awesome party, awesome people - thanks to everyone who was there and who made it happen! Good compos all in all, the weather was luckily much better than predicted so the real party was outside, and gasman's spontanous live act on Sun/Mon night rounded everything off in a perfect way. 10/10 would revise again
THANKS to the ORGA-TEAM! The Coffee was again marvelous and the whole atmosphere perfect. I didn't like the live-voting... but that's just my 2 Cents.
