KALTGETRÄNKEKABEL - MAKING REVISION GREAT AGAIN!
@timetable - at least there is no more boring-as-f*k shader compo. Hope you guys come up with something much more engaging for the public than binary pr0n :)

What? People liked that live shader thing. I did. I thought it was fun, and I'm not the only one.

So far it's only the competitions that's listed. The live shader compo was listed as a "special event" last year, which makes me believe that's what gonna happen this year as well.

So you'll just have to factor in some time in the garden while others among us is inside enjoying that particular compo :)

livecoding compo is boring as fuck.
Live shader compo kicks ass! SaVannaH also likes it and she hasn't a clue about coding!

+1 for live shaders!
+2 for live shaders and I too don't have a clue about coding. It's a good mix of entertainment, music og competition.

Besides, what else should be going on friday night?

What rez said. Would totally dig an oldskool tracked music fast compo with an awkward sample set

I definitely enjoyed the live shader compo. But I'm a serial sofascener so I probably don't count.

LOOKING FOR LIVECODERS!

As announced in the previous post, Revision is planning to host another edition of the Shader Showdown competition this Easter in Saarbrucken. The organizing team has been expanded and preparations for the show are currently in full swing. However, as always, the most important ingredients for a successfull live coding competition are the coders. In the two previous editions of the Shader Showdown the Revision audience has witnessed great feats of coding prowess as well as some instances of spectacular failure. If you think you can achieve greatness again, if you want to redeem yourself from your less than stellar previous performance, or if you want to show the world that you can beat the coders who have graced our stage so far- in any of those cases, this is your opportunity.

To participate in the 2016 edition of Shader Showdown, please mail to hotline-2016@revision-party.net. In order to be eligible for competition, you have to be present in or near the E-Werk and available to compete on stage from 9PM on Friday, March 25th until 6PM on Saturday, March 26th. We'd like to emphasize that the organizing team is welcoming applications from demoscene veterans as well as new recruits, or even complete outsiders. Last but not least, if you are a true multimedia artist who has DJ skills besides an excellent grasp of shader coding techniques, please do not forget to mention that in your application.

If you are a fan of the Shader Showdown but do not feel prepared to compete yourself, we would very much appreciate it if you'd forward this call for participants with any potential competitors and encourage them to sign up- thanks in advance for your support!
