I've been searching this demo for 20 years! Please help!

Hello friends.
As the title suggests, I really needs your expert help.
My name's Alessandro, I am italian, I am not a demo expert but, even if I was too young to live the 80s, I had an Amiga 500+ in the 90s (now completely broken).

I had this demo. I had found it casually in a box of old floppies. No name on it, just a few words difficult to read that said "Demo HAM" (probably...). What I recall about the demo: simple slideshow with music (quite slow music, a little bit moody). You press the mouse button and another image appears. The images were about geometric 3D shapes in odd, dreamy, backgrounds (a chessboard maybe??).

First years of the 90s was probably the time. I am aware of the fact that these clues are random and hazy, but that's my memory! It is becoming kind of a struggle finding that demo... maybe you can help out, it would be amazing to "re-playing" it!
Thank you so much!

A.
Maybe you can find it in the list of Amiga slidehows ?
One with Spheres
Another one with a chessboard

»Spheres« features a chessboard too.

First of all thank you!
None of them, unfortunately... Images were a little more realistic and music was slower!
Any other idea?
I looked up the list Saga Musix gave me (the screenshots) and no one was. Raytraced dreams looked a little bit similar, though...
Unfortunately this is like everything there is concerning slideshows on amiga here @pouet.
So maybe you need to start some of them to make sure it ain´t your one.
Hopefully you realized the list has 11 pages...just click the "next page" button on the bottom right or choose your page in the bottom middle, then click "submit".

Generally your description is way too vague sadly. But we all have some of these demos we cannot find again...some even never made it to the internet, even until today, while people still find some lost stuff from time to time...but this gets more rare nowadays!
Was it a slideshow made in Italy (by Italian Amiga Users) or outside Italy ?

Yes, ɧ4ɾɗվ./Zitron. I looked up every pages, even started some of them which had a similar screenshot... I know it's hard and I'm aware - sorry about that - of the fact I just have random memories... I still hope, though!

Answering to magic: that's my point. I do not know about that, but since that floppy was shared by some people here in Italy, maybe it belongs to italian demoscene. Unfortunately I don't know anything about italian demoscene or where I can find these demos!
a long shot, but might i be the newtek demo reel 3 (or one of the others.)

SCA, thank you but unfortunately no. The atmosphere is more like: https://docplayer.it/docs-images/23/1764354/images/114-0.png

or

!
a matter of chess?

one of the slideshows with something raytracing related in the title?

if not, and if you feel the urge to skim through 44 pages worth of screenshots, you can do so on kestra exotica janeway (or whatever the hell they prefer to be called these days :)

Done, Reed, thank you, but nothing... :(
a technique for remembering additional details of a faint memory:
imagine that the things you remember are a film strip. now try to roll back and forth over them. do this with closed eyes, just a few times. then do something else, take your mind completely off it. then repeat the procedure, also try to widen the focus like where were you, what were you doing, what day was it. listen to a tune that you remember from that time. then do something else again. try to really put the problem away. with a little bit of luck, out of the blue, a big chunk of memory just comes back to you. i am doing this for quite some time now and have found *all* of the songs from my pre-teen days, many demos, movies and even where i put items.

sometimes the smell of tech stuff in a well stored box also helps triggering submerged memories. also, with the effort of remembering, you are telling your brain that what you are looking for is really important.

I will follow your very useful advices, wertstahl, thank you... I hope some memory will come back! Actually one thing I didn't mention is the fact I actually recall some of the tune/music playing in the demo! I recorded a small 23 seconds mp3 with a piano-app on my phone just to give you the notes. I do not where to upload it so you can hear it, though...
@alssndrmnt

Ciao,
your description reminded me of Eva Cortese, a talented raytracing artist, most of her productions were slideshows showing raytraced images in interlaced screen resolution and HAM mode (...).
She also collaborated with the Amiga magazines of the time in Italy.
Good luck.

Hello noname, have you got a title please? I only find this Bye Bye Blue
Finally I have found the demo and I published it on Pouet. Here you can find the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBocRT8irdg.

Do you know anything about this?
you found the actual floppy? or where did you find it?

Hey, cool that you found it!

I don't know anything about this disk in particular, though I'm pretty sure it's not a scene production at all. Feels more like one of the many, many collections of images made to be spread through PD libraries or simply copied among friends. In this case probably by the guy who raytraced them himself. Looks like they were made in an early version of Real 3D.
