Clearly most thumbs down is not the best path to "worst demo", especially the ones that still have more up than down. That said, having 70 or 80 thumbs up and down in near perfect balance is something of an achievement.

Ugh so true 4play, was a time at every party (more or less), these "funny" demos would appear and never spoken about again !! Haha i think it was in KinderGarden that they had to start checking the entries before going to the bigscreen, after too much gayness was submitted !! :D :D Of course submitted by Finnish guys :D

Even BITS demos have some outsider-art charm. That's a redeeming quality. The worst demo would be something with no redeeming qualities, that's just depressingly bad, and conceptually distasteful in more ways than just aesthetical and technical. I can think of a few examples, but quite frankly, I don't want to showcase any of them.
Instead, I'll go with the least original response possible, Rush Hour, which isn't the worst demo, but it is arguably the greatest bad demo classic of all time. It's telling that before 2010 it received mostly downvotes, and after 2010, it has received mostly upvotes.

Rush Hour is the equivalent of The Room - something that at least APPEARS to have been made in earnest.
