New simple pixel api, thirteen.h
category: code [glöplog]
Cool!
Cool beans!
I've got little against reinventing the wheel but I'd really rather see people using battle tested code such as simply SDL to tackle this for a plethora of reasons if they need a frame buffer.
Plek: This is coded by two top-notch guys from the game industry and nvidia. Shouldn’t be that bad yo..
It's nice that it enables you to "just start drawing" but SDL also does that and is more battle-proven thanks to having been used for decades already. I still use SDL for prototyping.
Battle test all pixels yo
Header-only libs rule. Thanks Sol for sharing this!
As a header-only lib I think this is after a different niche than SDL, and these pixels are probably easy to battle test indeed. Awesome!
So working in the game industry or at nVidia is a sign of qua..
Oh whatever this forum here is about a hobby, do whatever the hell you please already :-)

Very nice work, thanks... :)
Would still be nice if I wanted to start something new and decide to get rid of SDL dependencies and just use this.
On second thought, it's DX12, I might lose the portability if I abandon SDL, I don't know.
Got inspired at some point of the idea of going out of dependencies, after watching few Casey Muratori's videos. But never did. SDL is good enough. Just sometimes I need to link the extra libaries and in one case I had old project with SDL1.2 and was looking at old files on the internet to recompile. A header file that gives you that just seems appealing to get started.

I'll buy it if it can use SDL as backend :D
TinyPTC rides again? :-)
Almost the same as my old WTC lib, too bad that I never fixed the old DirectDraw sins (writing directy to the video buffer and not swapping, broke my old win32 demos in fullscreen after Vista / Win7 ).
someone reinvented ptc/pixeltoaster? ;)
