To those who haven't noticed yet...

The "ok" rating actually means "no rating".

wain, you suck.
I don't see why this is important, I mean the rating doesn't count anywhere on pouet, does it? It's just there so that people can quickly say if they liked something or not, or if they just thought it was ok! :-)

nono, the ratings are used in a complicated manner to produce the top 10 most average known prods list on the left side of the main page. unlike one would think, however, the most efficient way to find them is not to calculate the number of "ok"-votes but the number of "rules"-votes minus the number of "sucks"-votes.

The way popularity is calculated is subjective. I thought it was only measured by the page views! Analogue? You must post that piece of code! :-)

most popular != topten.
go to the prods page and sort by the last column to see yourself.

Don't need to. I still have not seen two top-something lists in pouet that agree on something! :-P

actually, the popularity charts are decided upon during the monthly secret conference of glöperators in analogue's garden shed. after cutting our veins with the same blade and collecting the blood in a single mug, we mix it with aldi wine and feed it to a virgin, then proceed to torture her until she reveals the titles of demos that should increase in popularity.
