I've got to say it, but what the fuck is going on with the scene? I just got my computer fixed and been looking through some of the prods from the last months and all ive seen is 1byte-1k intros with no enjoyable content, lots of JML and OSDM spam and wannabe "oldschool" shit that need powerful PCs just to run a scrolltext. It wouldnt be so bad if some of it was funny or fresh but it aint! Even the demos and 64k intros are rehashes of stuff weve seen a billion times except now they need high end graphcs cards to run and look worse than stuff 5 years ago!

Im not moaning or bitching. I've got an Xbox 360 for my eye candy needs but watcing cool new demos and being entertained was fun. Have all the sceners left to do other things or you saving your work for next breakpoint? Even the pouet forums are dull now. Where's all the flaming and discussions and humour like we used to have?

There's a big difference between "latest added prods" and "latest released prods", and most importantly:
Pouët is in fact not a valid representation of the real spirit of the scene. It never claimed to be.

And yes, the most stuff we watch lately are lame jumalauta productions. It's a long time sincel I've last seen a really great demo, but do you know what they usually say to that? If you don't like the currently released demos, sit your ass down and make a really cool one to show us what you can do (Like if I was capable to ;P).

So, let's go back to coding (or real life or whatever).

Probably - then again that's exactly when the next bitch-wave will arrive about how all BP prods suck, etc.
In short, everything always sucks :)

Shane, I agree with you. This place has hit new lows and seemingly the people couldn`t care less and just want to spend time on crap, unfunny and pointless productions. Amazingly most people in here actually like them.

People are still going over the same old jokes, I`m sure "BASS" and related crap was dropped even by hardcore PC nerds years back.. (no doubt an example of this will follow)

So tell me again, why are the productions "pointless" if most people like them?

Making a good demo takes a huge amount of time. Good demos can only be released during major demo parties, because people prepare for them more.

Teel: "most" people on here are probably members or secret members of JML and all those other Speedfitters / whatever groups.
