Lol! Great video. Reminds me of a description my brother told me of a scene he had seen on tv, about some kids who got a gameboy (or was it advance?) and shouting constantly "GAAAAMMMMEEEEBBBOOOOYYYYY!!!" in the similar way. I guess they REALLY wanted that present..

I don't remember to have gone through a similar case. I was too small when my father bought us an Amstrad CPC, hadn't seen something like this before. And I didn't knew any friends of mine having a CPC or anything then, it was just something knew for me. I didn't knew anything about computers before nor had I a dreamy computer I had to have, so I didn't scream.

And later when my father got a new PC he gave us his older one. But no screams of great enthousiasm ever occured. We were just each time a bit happy that we could play dune2, then doom, then quake, unreal tournament, halflife 2 in a decent speed two years after the most people did ;P. I was also happy I could finally run demos in a decent speed. I think my best enthousiasm was in an upgrade when I could finally watch accelerated demos and Final Reality too (I got a Voodoo2 from my brother then for my Pentium 2 at that time). But it never occured to me to really wishing for a dreamy hardware and screaming in enthousiasm when I finally got that. Would be fun! =)

I got the 'playmobil pirate-ship' in Christmas of 1984 and was pretty happy with it.

I just remembered a video I once saw on You've Been Framed (a UK home-video show). A kid opened up his Christmas present and got a MEGA DRIIIIIIIIVE!!!!, and his little brother was more excited about the CAAAAARDBOOOOOARD!!!

entity: Who wouldn't be exited about a Mega Drive?
I can remember when my brother got a Sega Master System with hang on and great soccer, and I was just like "Pah, why do they watch soccer on christmas eve?"

Stupid me...

You aren't stupid, the game was just way too realistic. ;)
