Well, reading some diskmags recently, I had the impression that charts are entertaining and good for the community spirit! They simply shouldn't be taken too seriously - I was taking them too seriously when I wrote my article "Charts Suck!" in Hugi 18.

About voting forms on the web, please, cant they have a "save" function where u can save it and then go back to it later on to fill out more and then submit it when you are done.

That's a good idea. I've put it to my "to do" list. Is perhaps anybody interested in coding such a thing?

theres allready eurocharts and now worldcharts are also back , what a suprise that suddenly there comes the idea taking also charts back in hugi.
so for me hugi + charts = quite useless

Well, Worldcharts will die after a couple of issues anyway ;)

Eurochart #48 contained only Amiga charts. And the new Worldcharts issue hasn't been released yet.

I got the idea to reintroduce charts in Hugi after reading some older Worldcharts and Pain editions. It's not just about the charts, it also reminds people that they can actively contribute to the magazine and thus shape its contents.

Go and place your votes for the Eurocharts!! http://worldcharts.untergrund.net/

And they are the Eurochart without the s!! Yes, I know those Eurocharts on MTV were with s but those for Amiga are without. You know, we Amiga retards are different, we have less. (s) Applause!

the Worldcharts voting form is extremely tedious to fill with that 3 sec delay... :/
added on the 2006-04-28 02:15:55 by Gargaj Gargaj
Apart from the delay, I like the Worldcharts voting script. The solution that you can choose from a pool, and can add new entries to that pool, is IMHO very good; this gives indecisive people a clue who/what they could vote for if they really want their votes to have an impact, and yet it allows freedom of choice.
Saving votes is something that's missing in this script. This is the advantage of Pain's script.

Nah, it's too hard for me today to vote. I barely remember the 3 best everything, even 3 best demos. I look at BP06 releases, but I miss a lot this way. Ok, I accidentally tripped on Enter thrice, so please use the final of the forms I send you. My comments says it..

Adok: you can actually do that with Pain's voting system for a while now... also think of the disadvantage of just picking from a pool and forgetting about candidates who didnt get into the pool yet...

voting is easy: just vote for ISO on every category
