pouët.net

i'd like to count the number of people who are also sick of the assload of cracktro's and trainers added

category: general [glöplog]
johnny socko : back to school! cracktro rulez and was the start of demoscene
if you dont like it, feel free to it thumb down
they are simply a part of our computer subculture

iblis & mtl : some crystal cracktro made by melon dezign are on pouet here since months.
I'm not a huge fan of cracktros, but I still think they deserve their place in pouet.

Oops, my memory has errors between $7C8 and $7D2 ;) I do remember some of those melon cracktros for Crystal now. Melon was a breath of fresh air and could arguably be referenced as the first group to put more importance on design rather than effects.

Anyway, thanks for the reminisce :)

cracktroes belong to scene, and pouet, It gives me more to watch a cewl cracktro than sit down and what a slow boring demo/intro, atleast one from johnny socko, tell me johnny, how many ppl have you count?

To Mtl: Melon Design did NOT do any crackintros? Haha! Good that you don't know that they were a subgroup of a cracking crew named Crystal and did many cracktros for them (on Amiga of course)
And yes, it is really a LONG time ago.. ;-=)

i'll probably never understand why they are part of this scene, in the year of 2002. that's probably for the oldschool 15-year-olds here.

dubmood: you guys made the bits salad series, and then you're telling ME that I'M making SLOW-paced demos/intros? oh man ;)

dalezy: at least i'm trying to state something in a rather normal way here.

furthermore, besides some remarks by a few arrogant pissheads i've only seen irrelevant razor-ish people defend cracktro's.

I have no problems with cracktros or trainermenus if they are cool, but I have a problem with the *way* that the recent Amiga trainer-menus was added. An example:

http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=7965

The link points to a html page, and that is the case for the ten or so trainer-menus I noticed. Please link directly to the zip file, this way the Mirror option will work correctly as well.

It's no surprise you'll never understand johnny. Hence how pointless this thread is...
(Sorry ppl...I gotta let it go)

crackintros do rock. also there are great ones among new as well, especially on GBA..

now plek, fiasco, isnt it? =]

not really raver, since most people who voted in favor of cracktro's are idiots.

myeah, i wonder where are all the wise men hidding then!

added on the 2002-11-02 14:57:35 by raver raver
Ok,. let's count them. I vote YES to add cracktros in pouet! I am just interested in history... (Not in school though)
added on the 2002-11-02 15:46:54 by Optimus Optimus
After about a billion-hojillion cracktros being added to pouet, I got to admit I'm getting quite fed up with them.

Since most of them are usually "same shit, different game we spread" like this one and that one.

I wouldn't mind getting less of that bullshit on pouet. Only people who care about attaining glops can be seriously interested in cracktros, since they're such easy glop-meat.
added on the 2002-11-02 16:57:58 by Shifter Shifter
pfff.. ridiculous. i dont care for glöps, especially as the glöp-counter is broken anyway, and you still see me adding, right ? so whats my motivation then ? my motivation is to bring oldschool stuff to the people, seen ? live with it. if you dont like cracktros, just don'T click them on pouet, it's that easy.
added on the 2002-11-02 18:05:53 by dipswitch dipswitch
whoever said I was talking about you in the first place dipswitch? oh well, probably takes a guilty mind ;)

There's NOTHING noteworthy about 99% of the current slew of cracktros, and they certainly aren't of any historic/oldschool value. If a nice one happens to drop by, that's one in a hojillion, wouldn't you agree?

added on the 2002-11-03 00:04:59 by Shifter Shifter
at least *some* people seem to catch my drift
added on the 2002-11-03 00:17:12 by superplek superplek
*sigh
yeah, yeah that's it... ppl only like cracktros because of glops mmm...(cmon Shifter, for fucks sake...)

superplek:
k...so u whine about every prod commenting on nothing but bad points, bag the shit out of a well respected group and now you wanna gain some support to filter out cracktros to your own personal liking... What's next plek.. I can't wait...

dubmood, u stupid moron, if u read pouet a bit, you would know that i'm not exactly plek's friend.

Cracktros suck, and you suck more. Cracktros today are made by people that are lazy to make REAL prods, face it.
